    That is absolutely horrible!

I say, post the name and location and owners names, the pictures that you have of their animals and the stories that you have, on every BP forum that you can find.

Also, report them to the health department. If they have dead animals in cages with other live animals, sounds like a health issue to me.

As horrible as it is, the OP is right, all of the organizations who are supposed to care about this kind of stuff are busy leading crusades for publicity. PETA doesn't think that we should keep animals and that they are better off dead than dependent on humans, forget for human consumption. Kill them and waste their lives rather than use them for clothing or food. The ASPCA has declared war on NYC carriage horses because it is cruel and they are stressed and breathing fumes from cars, leaving me to wonder how if happy, sound, well fed horses are being abused simply because of their proximity to vehicles, social services hasn't jailed parents for bringing their kids to the city or pushing a strolled across the street right at exhaust level. It's okay to keep a border collie in a one bedroom apartment where is slowly goes crazy and ends up being put down, but it is not okay to use animals which were bred for labor for the work they want and need in order to be happy and healthy.

/end rant. Apologies. I truly wish this kind of horror was limited in some way, but the truth is that people are purposefully and firmly ignorant of correct husbandry and allow press and publicity to fuel and spread their ignorance.
