    I got lucky, a rescue had a juvenile Colombian for $30, probably about 1 1/2 to 2 years old, she's a total baby. It's a little nerve-wracking the first couple weeks opening up the tub and immediately their head snaps up and zeroes in on you/your hand, but if you don't go waving your hand about or go in smelling like food, I'm sure he'll calm down with age.

    Someone told me a good trick with boas (especially as they get larger) is to run your hand up from their neck, over their head and to their nose. I think it helps you get bitten less.

    No I meant blotches. may not be the correct term. I know some refer to them as saddles. That is what I use to defenestrate between the two markings.
