100% for sure a super pastel, and a very nice one at that. Not anywhere close to looking like a 1,000g ghost, not anywhere close to looking like a 1,000g pastel.

i have been reading all those posts and thinking wow really? lol thats deffinately a super pastel and the one person that said its a light colored normal lmao thats even funnier

Noticed that as well this place is an amazing recorce for Bps but it seems like it's been infested with alot of spam and people just looking to post but again thank you for all the positive ids I really needed to know that I didn't pay 2 times as much for a regular pastel

Nobody deserves to be ridiculed for saying that particular animal looks like a pastel. I have seen a few older (5+ years) examples of exceptional pastels that look like they could be that animal's twin. Without knowing the animal's age, it's hard to say. A 1 kg animal could be 2 years or 10 years old. The markers I look for on adult super pastels are flames and the grayed out hypo-ish pattern, which OP's animal is lacking. Dorsal blushing is a less reliable marker because there are plenty of pastels with a lot of that. Anyone who said pastel probably has a mental image of exceptional adult supers like the ones on Albey's website. I know that's what I think when I think super pastel, but I keep my eye on exceptional examples of every morph and I sometimes forget that every animal I come across isn't going to be a star among its peers. Even NERD's adult Pastels and Supers can be difficult to tell apart. The photo quality of OP's animal doesn't really help on an ID, but if the animal is brighter than what the picture shows, and if breeders who saw it in person at the expo said it looked like a super, then it's most likely a super.

With your picture quality, it is hard to tell.

Here is my Super Pastel for comparison. I paid $300 for him.

I'll be totally honest with the animal being as far away as it is and not really in focus it's hard to tell for 100% sure. I've got supers and I've got Pastels that could pass for supers I've seen. With all that said here is a 3 year old 1000 gram super for you to compare your's to.

    Best of luck

Looks like a super to me. One thing about the internet/forums is most people tend to post pics of thier BEST examples of any given morph. Also, some keepers here with pastels/super pastels only have hatchlings/subadults in thier own collections for reference. Most pics on breeder pages are of shiny babies. My hair was blonde when I was a kid, then it turned dark brown/black, and now it is going grey.:D
