The one good thing I see in all of this is that it would be majorly unusual for anything genetic to have caused each and every one of these babies to die. It seems to me that something other than inherited problems would be at fault.

If you can check everything and make sure that something isn't wrong in the incubation environment, I'd guess that next year you might end up with a bunch of healthy babies.

Well this clutch was doomed from the beggining.I used hatchrite(its garbage) and it caused the eggs to dry out before i realized what was going on.They were dimpled seriously and i could not correct the problem fast enough.I will NEVER use anything else but perlite or vermiculite ever again. In my years of breeding and keeping reptiles this is my largest loss :(.

I've only incubated one time. I used vermiculite and lost half the clutch. I think it might have been the incubator, though. I never could keep the temps in range without a bunch of adjustment.

After that I used the "mama snake" incubator. Odd as it seems, I've only lost 2 eggs using that method.

:( That really sucks that you lost all of them. Sounds like the issues I was having with hatchrite last year. The babies were really messed up. No eyes or small eyes, kinks, some didn't have the end of their tails, and their bellies were split open. This year I went substrateless using the hatchrite and I'm on day 30 something and all my eggs are going strong. Last year I would have lost at least 2 by now maybe 3.

Granted I revamped everything for my incubator, but I'm thinking hatchrite was the main problem. Last year I didn't have any issues with temps and this year the power has gone out twice already and everything is still going well.

So your using hatchrite again? I will NEVER waste money on that garbage again! Yea the baby was weirdly shaped and VERY skinny.
