Wow! Defensive! People recognized that you were a beginner and they offered you extra info on top of your question. You came on to get educated and that's all they are doing. To answer your question, yes males will do this and they will engage in combat when housed together! You should have waited until you have proper housing before getting a snake! Males do not like being housed together! You said you put this mojave in with your other males which means you already house multiple snakes together! Beginners should really stick with one snake until they learn proper care and should not even attempt breeding until then have a couple years experience. People are very helpful on here but when you jeopardize the health of a snake, they take that seriously! Here is a care sheet for you to read: http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...ius)-Caresheet . Follow that and you will have very happy snakes! :D Good luck! He is a nice looking Mojave!

First off, please DON'T reregister to "start over" with a new name. It's against our rules and can get you into trouble and possibly actually banned from the site.

I'm very sorry if you feel you've gotten off to a rocky start. Others have and come back just fine. I know some folks that got off to a similar rocky start and are now mods of the site. No one will remember this a few days from now, if you just make the effort to learn and move on. We were all new once and know what it feels like.

What you take as an attack or judgement against your character is not that at all. Folks here are simply very passionate about the well-being of the animals and are sometimes very quick to point out mistakes that put the animals' health into jeopardy. Especially if you've known someone who's ENTIRE collection worth thousands of dollars was completely wiped out due to one sick snake being unknowingly brought into the same room. It CAN happen. And there are myriad lesser issues at risk as well.

No one wants to bash you....everyone just hopes you'll understand the importance of the issue and not blow it off.

As has been mentioned...two males can and will lock together as if mating. And sometimes snakes are mis-sexed. I know competent folks who have had eggs laid by "males". ;)

Good luck with your animals. :)
