    Congrats Xan!
That's always a great feeling to get the first clutch on the ground. That flutter comes back every year for me. It's still exciting... Every single clutch!

Congrats on your first clutch! And, warm wishes for 7 healthy pastel babies in 60 days. The best thing is that it never loses its magic.

thanks guys! everyone really made my day with all the congratulations and best wishes. I can't ever see this losing it's magic, whether it be a clutch of pastels or a clutch of pieds this has got to be the greatest feeling ever. I'm just glad the hard parts over, now I can sit back and relax for 55 days haha. BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE WITH THEIR CLUTCHES THIS YEAR :D

Re: My first clutch ever is on the ground!
Alright so just wanted to see if I was just seeing things or not.

I candled eggs tonight and all look good but as I was candling I saw a little black dot moving around in a couple of the eggs, no clue what that could be but it was pretty cool haha any ideas?

They are only a week in by the way.

    Thanks!

When the eggs are old enough you can see the babies swimming by candling! Sometimes even their little faces and pattern when it starts to come in! I've never seen a super early candling video that showed movement, but you could be seeing your future snake babies!

I can usually start seeing good movement around 14 days.
