I like it. I have had it a while but have only needed it a few times. Easy to use and you don't get charged if your not using it (no monthly fee, etc.).

Re: An easy way to accept credit cards?
We haven't used it yet, but it came in the mail in less than a week.

Looks like this has been changed.

When you accept payments by swiping cards with the Square card reader, we deposit all of your sales into your bank account each evening. If you accept more than $1,000 in card-not-present payments during any trailing seven day period, Square will defer depositing the amount in excess of $1,000 for 30 days. This limit does not apply to swiped payments.

If you foresee yourself primarily using manually entered transactions or if you notice held payments, write in here. We'd be happy to increase your deposit limit to an amount that works with your business.

I just signed up for ProPay for my Mary Kay business' website. The fee is $40 a year. You can get a card reader for iphones and android phones for $40-50 or a card reader for computers for like $80 (I think). There is a transaction limit of $450 and monthly limit of $1,500 and you can request an increase but it didn't say how much. Also they offer a free Mastercard to easily withdraw money from the account or use it to pay bills or buy supplies/inventory which I thought was pretty cool. You can add a bank account to withdraw the funds into as well (no $ limit on that). I'll have to check back here to let all of you know how well it works.

Use Squareup myself so far I really like it..You can swipe or enter the card info. You can link multiple devices to one account and keep track of which device did which transaction and when. Even allows you to preload inventory with pics or take pics on the spot of sold items. It allows you to attach these pics to a predesignated receipt. I really like it so far for shows or on the spot transactions..

I got an intuit card reader ... seems like the best option imo. There's the limit per month before the small monthly fee, but I don't see any other restrictions. Takes 2-3 business days to get money I think.

Since I posted last month I have done almost $1000 in sales from cards this month through the square app. 2 sales were BP's in the $400 range and another 4-6 were lower dollar cornsnakes. Without square I would not have made those sales and the 2 shows I did would not have been as nice.

I have been using square for a while and it is the best option for those who dont do credit card transactions on a daily basis. For all the reason stated above it is great for shows, and there is no waiting for your money....
