I prefer to think of it as the "stamp collectors" model
Or the "baseball card" model
Except that everyone with a printer could legally scan and print off more baseball cards.

Why is it that demand has gone up supply has gone up and yet prices still drop every year.. It doesn't fit any successful business model in existence..Look at cars the number of people driving cars every year goes up and yet car prices are at an all time high.. when people stopped driving big ole trucks the price fell, that fits loads of product no interest price drops..
That is true but one point, the supply increases exponentially where as the demand does not. Lets look at cars most car manufactures do not have massive increases in production every 2 years. Breeding snakes if we said a simply recessive trait starts with one visual animal then in 2 years we could have say 5 visuals then in 2 more years 15 visuals in 2 more years there could be 30 more, So in six years you could have gone from 1 to 36. The next two years could see 70 or 80 more that isn't unrealistic. As supply increases demand increases but not at the same rate. Competition kicks in and the price drops.

I totally agree here.. but in a normal market supply would respond..but instead of adjusting the supply mean, our market adjusts the price to match competition..
This does fit the "collector model better" being that the rarer the item the more value it has. collector market don't hold up to "supply and Demand" models hence me saying I wish people would stop using that term to explain price drops..
Prices drop because the morph looses it rarity not because demand goes down. :gj:
Throw in every person with a 10gal tank and the glitter of breeding in their eye and poof you've got a Bubble.. ;)
Not unlike The ".com" phase or spices in the 1400's everybody wants to get them a piece and before too long there's to many suppliers and not enough consumers.
