Um NO. That was 2 months of threads. Only threads started between 12/30/04 and 3/7/05 were lost, and I am still working on the possibility of restoring them somehow. All posts from before that and from threads begun before that were retained. That's hardly "years and years of information."

No one is getting mad at anyone in particular. Marla and Smulkin have been working very hard on getting things switched over to the new server. We ask that everyone please be patient and know that we are doing this so that you all have a stable website that is bigger and better than ever.

Sorry, I know this thread is almost a week old, but I just noticed my count is down to like 160, I was up to around 500. Now, I joined the site when it was fairly young back in 2003. I don't think I made over 300 posts over the span of two months, so does that mean more information was lost?

Just curious, sorry if there's an obvious explanation, I'm kinda slow :)

actually, marla was able to recover all of the lost posts. (yahoo!) some wacko stuff happened when the recovered info was imported and post counts got messed up somewhere in there, but all of the good stuff is intact.

Sucks for those who lost lots of posts, but definitely better than an unsafe site.

what happened to our post count by each of our post's? Did that get killed because we were worrying about it so much?
