if you have base board trim in the room try checking around/under it.
I had a little one escape on me 3 times before I tweaked the right spot in the rack they were in.

the first time I found her she had managed to wedge herself under the trim about 8ft from her home it was such a small spot she was in I had to get a pencil to get her out from under it.... that is were I found her each time she went for a stroll

to fix the problem I put the lids back on the totes and tweaked the shelf to fit with the lids on...

hope this helps and that you find her :)

I really want you to find her!

This may sound dumb but can you post a pic of the snake room that she was in? Maybe we can all help and come up with some new ideas?

This happened to me, The snake slid under 2 doors and got in my bedroom. I found him under the dresser, after tearing the whole apartment apart literally trying to find him. When I did find him he looked at me like WTF and bit my foot. Don't give up hope it's there somewhere.

Thanks guys. I feel like I am not as lucky as some of you. I just don't see how I can find her.. It's already been 2 days. She can be anywhere. Hopefully soon I can come up here and say how right you guys were. :P

I had someone else look with me the day she escaped, and have another person who looks out for me as well.

I'll post a picture, sure. Maybe I'll do one more round tomorrow.. I just can't help thinking she could be in the walls, or in my vents somewhere.

Keep in mind, snakes rarely find themselves in a position where they're truly stuck. With that in mind, while they may curl up and hide somewhere early on, a hungry snake will do anything but stay still.

Once your little snake starts to get hungry, I'm sure it'll leave it's current hiding place.

The flour was a good idea. Maybe try putting some along the wall to see if there's any midnight exploring going on.

You could also try making tiny hides with pinkies and a UTH and thermostat and placing them in any room she could have gotten to. The other thing I could suggest is pulling an all nighter with newspaper crumpled everywhere on the floor. If its quiet enough and shes on the move you'll hear her. Whenever I had escapees the were usually near the tank/ rack heat system. Good Luck.. I think youll find her once shes hungry enough just need to be patient.

you and your girl are still in my thoughts and prayers
My heart goes out to you, and I hope you find her soon. Look in the sofa/chair cushions I found a rat snake once in the seat cushion fn the sofa in my uncles house in the country.

I have a milk snake, the previous owners did not care for him as well as most of us would like. they didn't have any latch or lock to the lid. he apparently got out, and they didn't even bother looking for him and THREE MONTHS later he showed up in a box they had packed to move. crazy I know! :) I know you will find her :D

Worst case scenario, borrow a cat from someone.

Cats have an uncanny ability to find snakes on the loose in my experience. You just need to watch the cat for a day or so, and it will tell you right where the snake is. Cats can hear when the snake moves, and investigate the sounds which helps lead to return of said missing snake.
