As with every one else I'm going with low grade pastel.

    A pastel. For sure.

The oranges in baby pastels will tend to brown out more and more with each shed, while the yellows while start to become more vibrant. A baby pastel looks pretty different from what it will look like when its say....6 months old.

    Congrats on the pick up.

It's a Pastel... There's nothing else in it. There ARE Pastels with Orange like that. They are called low grade Pastels. Probably why he was so cheap.

looks like a low-mid grade pastel to me as well. Over a dozen people have said the same thing...why is this that hard to believe? Pastels are still great snakes.

Yes, low grade pastels will be orange with yellow and that is what I see! Also better pics with better lighting and a better background will help!

I see LOTS of pastels with that much orange as babies, which is why I'm still shopping for mine.

Deep orange pastel's like that will turn very brown as adults, I've seen it time and time again.

A very bright yellow baby pastel will usually hold it's color much better. The link you posted shows what are lower grade fires in my opinion, but even then if you compare your picture side by side, they do not look the same.

It really doesn't matter what the parents of your pastel were, since there are no visual markers for most morphs. Even if one was an orange ghost, since that is a recessive color the baby either will be that color, or you won't be able to see it.

Nothing wrong with "just a pastel" they make a lot of pretty morphs.
