I am surprised Nogueira won too. They always say do not leave it up to the judges and you see time and time again why. In all fairness though no one wants to leave it up to the judges but some times there is nothing you can do about it.
Round 1: Both men measuring distance early. Nogueira quickly figures it out and lands a hard knee to the body to open. Nogueira with a leg kick. It was the opening Birlz was looking for. He snatches it and puts Nog on his back. Nog looks for the sweep, uses it to get upright. Brilz snatches a guillotine, but Nog pulls free. Brilz with some punches from the back and ends up on top of Nogueira again. Nog slips out the back door and takes Brilz down. Nog lands punches from the side. Brilz breaks free and gets to his feet. Well played by both sides early. Brilz slips under a hook and tries another takedown. This time Nogueira stays on his feet. Very close round. MMA Fighting scores it for Brilz, 10-9.
Round 2: Brilz goes for the takedown and falls into a guillotine. A few tense moments, but Brilz escapes. Brilz returns the favor with a guillotine of his own. The two roll around the cage as Nogueira tries to escape. Brilz holds it for at least a minute, but Nog won't tap. Brilz ends up on top. The upset alert is now officially on. After the grappling session finishes, the two are back to their feet to a nice pop from the crowd. Brilz fires off a right as they turn off the cage. Brilz lands another hard right and Nogueira clearly winces. Brilz tries a takedown but Nog breaks free. Knee to the face from Nogueira, Brilz answers with a combo that rocks his opponent. Crowd is eating up this underdog story. Brilz again, 10-9.
Round 3: Another takedown from Brilz. Nogueira sweeps and ends up on top. Brilz breaks free. Brilz drops for the ankle pick, Nog feeds him some punches and pulls away. With two minutes left, Nogueira tries to set up a d'arce, but Brilz sees it coming. Back to their feet. Nogueira with a left, Brilz shoots again, but Nog ends up on top. Nog gets crucifix from the back. Brilz eats some leather but escapes as the crowd goes wild. Thirty seconds left. Nog reverses now as wild momentum shifts continue. Nog powers out some elbows as the round runs out. Both men raise their hands. MMA Fighting scores the round for Nogueira, 10-9.
Winner: Antonio Rogerio Nogueira via split decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29)

Everyone thought Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Jason Brilz at UFC 114 was a mismatch. Everyone was wrong.
Brilz, who took the biggest fight of his career on four weeks' notice when Forrest Griffin pulled out of the fight with Nogueira, stunned everyone by going toe-to-toe with Nogueira both on the feet and on the ground for 15 minutes before losing a very close split decision that left the crowd booing.
After they felt each other out on the feet for a minute and a half, Brilz took Nogueira down and landed in his guard. Going to the ground with Nogueira is usually not a good idea, but Brilz actually handled himself quite well before the two fighters went back to their feet after a couple of minutes on the ground. Not a lot was done on the feet until the round ended, and the first round was fairly even.
Things got crazy in the second round, when Brilz followed up a leg kick with a takedown and actually sunk in a tight guillotine choke that would have forced a lot of fighters to tap out. Nogueira (who is brilliant on the ground and has never been submitted), wasn't in serious danger, but it was impressive that Brilz even threatened Nogueira the way he did. Back on their feet in the closing seconds of the round, Brilz landed some huge punches that rocked Nogueira, and as the round ended Nogueira looked wobbly and exhausted.
In the third Brilz took Nogueira down and onto his back again, and although Nogueira had a guillotine attempt, Brilz got free. Nogueira managed to sweep, get on top and hurt Brilz with some punches, but Brilz was relentless and got back to his feet. The fight went back to the ground late in the third and Nogueira had Brilz in trouble, getting him into a crucifix position, but Brilz managed to hang on and survive.
Ultimately two judges scored the fight 29-28 for Nogueira, while one scored it 29-28 for Brilz. I scored it 29-28 for Brilz, but it was a close enough fight that I wasn't surprised to learn two out of three judges gave the first and third rounds to Nogueira.
Brilz was classy in defeat, urging fans not to boo Nogueira, while Nogueira said he knew he needed to improve.
"Brilz is a very tough guy," Nogueira said afterward. "I respect him a lot. ... I promise, next time I will be better."
Nogueira has been mentioned as a future light heavyweight title contender. He'll have to be better to beat the elite fighters of the light heavyweight division.
As for Brilz, his stock has skyrocketed in defeat. He earned a lot of fans, even if Nogueira earned the win.

I'm glad Evans won, but I'm also a little disappointed that a fight where there is so much animosity could go to the judges.

The main event SUCKED! I am so glad I did not pay the fight. I know this is their job and the winner receives a title shot but come on. All of the back and forth between these two and this is how Rashad fought? Very disappointing fight.
Oh yeah I am glad Sanchez lost his fight.
