Re: How would you get the world out in your area that you have X animal for sale?
Join some ASF breeder listings. People who want ASF's will cruise the internet for it and find you local and what not. I'm pretty sure I have seen requests for any contact in Iowa.

You could post on faunaclassifieds.com as well, there are lots of people who would be interested there as well. Just post it in the feeders section and I'm sure you will sell of a good bunch of them.

I'm an idiot, should have made notice of it being ASFs.
Just find people locally who have BPs or other snakes and see if they're interested. Networking, facebook postings, forums, shows, etc.

I have found several people in Iowa that want ASFs, but they are a little annoying. They expect me to drive the rats over an hour to them. If they want the dang things THEY can come get them! I've sort of given up on it for now.

I absolutely agree with you, don't go out of your way just to make a couple of bucks. You'll find someone if you keep trying.

That's pretty unbelievable ..! I mean, I can appreciate someone at least asking if delivery is available, for a fee, if they're buying several hundred dollars' worth ... But for a few rats, really?
Craigslist kind of is a joke (their "Pets" section really is, and a sad one at that -- I accidentally mis-typed "Peta" just then and that ain't too far off, especially for some states with "CL Pets Police"). Too bad because it can also be a very useful tool if used properly.
I got flagged the first time I put up a "rats wanted" add, too (no hate mail, thankfully -- I can't stand that kind of thing, not tough enough I guess :( ) but the 2nd time I put a paragraph at the top detailing why it didn't violate their TOS, and surprisingly it stayed up for quite a bit longer.
