Re: To cut or not to cut the egg
What does "pip" mean? Just when they come out of the egg on their own?
Re: To cut or not to cut the egg
I always cut my eggs either once the first one pips, or on day 55. I have heard horror stories about baby snakes drowning in the egg and that's why you should always cut. I'm not telling you to always cut, but I definitely prefer to.

I have learned the ways of patient's, it took a real long time but I did it...
+1, Never had a problem and mine wait until day 58-60.
Re: To cut or not to cut the egg
I cut on day 55 plus, sometimes it depends on how anxious I get. I haven't ever cut earlier and don't see a need to.
Re: To cut or not to cut the egg
I'm comfortable cutting on anything after day 50.
Before that is just too early in my opinion, i was told the other day that there are people that will cut as early as day 30 but i just don't see how those animals even make it. The way it was explained to me they cut on 30 and watch the snake develop day by day in the egg :colbert:
What's the point of that?

Hi,
as we don't had eggs right now, but are waiting some, I think we will cut at least one day after the first pips out.
