Don't worry JEWSKIN...I get what you are saying about retics. They are definitely jumpy animals(wether it be feeding response or not). Maybe try feeding that snake a bit more. It may just have a big appetite. Hope it tames down for you.

Alright. You're working with a young, "mean" snake. No problem. Be glad she's not 12 yrs. old...

You are doing some things right, some things wrong. Don't handle her much. As little as possible at the start. You want to gain trust. Do your "30 second in and out" enclosure maintenance, but make sure she gets your scent and is not threatened by you. Try not to cover her if you can. You are trying to eliminate her associating your scent with negative experiences. If she gets used to your scent and is not covered, poked, prodded, picked up, etc. she will realize you mean her no harm. Then let her start to approach you. Let her initiate contact. Let her lick your hand/arm. If you think she's going to bite, back off (sounds like you have a bit of experience, you should be able to "read" the snake by now). This could take awhile (longest I've ever taken to calm a snake was six months. A different species which shall remain nameless to protect the innocent, but it went from a psycho mouth of needles to a crowd favourite at our herp club's mall shows), but if you're dedicated and patient, it will work out in the end. And the reward for the work you've done will be amazing.

    Good luck.
