I'd definitely contact him to let him know how the animals arrived, but I'd almost say you should put up something on the BOI - maybe "info" just to share what your experience was, along with the pictures.

I certainly would never have him ship anything to me, after seeing that pack job.

Hang on a minute... We all wanted to know who it was but really you should email him and see if he has anything to say about this first. If he is rude, simply doesnt care and will not do anything about this etc.. Then go to the BOI on fauna and post a thread in there explaining exactly what happened with your transaction with this guy. You then post his info along with your full name.

First and foremost, the seller must be contacted.

Hopefully no one here emails this guy to harass him before you have contacted him and given him a chance to make it right..

Things like this should really be done in order and respectfully. Of course I have no respect for someone who packs snakes like that but you do need to give him a chance to save his name and possibly improve on his practices.

I agree, which is also why I suggested a "info" thread, vs. a "bad guy" thread.

Other buyers should be aware of how he pack snakes for shipping. There's no excuse for taking such tragic short cuts.

Yeah i definitely contacted him when i first got it and this is what he had to said "Fed ex won't do anything about it anyway. It just makes me sick that even though you put temps on side of boxes they still disregard it. Just let me know how pin does over the next few days."
I hope it "makes him sick" when he realizes it was the pack job not fedex
I just contacted him again giving him a link to this thread

He was probably relying on on your ignorance of shipping and packing reptiles. Now that you have some knowledge dont get rude with him. He knows fedex wont do anything. Thats the obvious part. If he doesnt know that he is packing these animals wrong then he shouldnt be shipping them. Take Robins advice and start an info thread in the BOI to keep people updated with this stpry and where it goes from here. Like OI said, be sure to follow the rules of the BOI. Use all your info and his info. Dates, pictures etc. People should know regardless. Robins right about that all the way.

Honestly, i'm doing this for the DEAD snake that arrived at my door. If he had a chance to voice his opinion in the matter i'm sure it wouldnt be in a "oderly and respectful" manner. So i'm doing it for him!

I am sorry I know how you feel. The first snake I had shipped to me arrived DOA but, in my case it was no fault of the breeder. I got a replacement that looked better then the first one.

I'm sorry to hear you have to deal with total ignorance such as this. Seriously there is no excuse good enough that a person could come with to cover that ridiculous packing job, especially when there are even a few videos online that show how to properly pack and ship reptiles.
