    Nice rifle :D

My only firearm is a 300 win mag, close enough to shooting a 30-06 which I haven't had the pleasure of shooting yet. Sure looks like a mighty fine rifle, hope you like it as much as I expect you will!

I tell you we went to the gun range today and I had guys stopping shooting to see me shoot that thing..It sounds like a cannon. Recoil in a seated position is almost nothing, but in the prone its kicks like a mule..

I was able to shoot 20 rounds in a 3" x 3" square at 100 yards today. So I'm pretty happy.. I think this spring I'm going to take some custom loads to Wyoming and see just how far I can reach out there..

With the right ammunition and right dialed in sight youll get a good 300 yards with knock down power still.

    I currently shoot 180 grain HP form my 30-06 with a 250yard range of a 5"x5" grouping.

Your scope is higher than mine i believe so you should have no problems hitting 300+

I have a 308 that will hit at out past 500 yrds.. I'd like to see if a 125 grn custom load wont reach out to 900 and beyond.. I'd really like to join the small bore 1000 yard club in the Wyoming Long Range Rally. We'll see..

I may have to Moly coat and custom load but it would be worth it.

Nice rifle I would lose the 20x and stick with a 10x you shouldn't need anything more then that. Also is you are going to use it for hunting you sould get a sun shade for it, glare sux lol They shoot 10 inch targets up to 1000yrds with 10x fixed scopes in the military. I thought bigger was better with my 32x and man that was a waste of money it takes the fun and challenge out of it. Nice looking rifle though. I was thinking of adding an 06 but I will stick with my 308 for now.

LOL all in time.. See the thing allot of people don't understand is that a 308 and a 30-06 both use a .308 dia projectile the difference comes in the grain weight and propellant load needed to push a 225 grain bullet down the barrel. As for the scope it is adjustable up to 40X I typically leave it be unless I'm acquiring a target. Sun glare isn't a problem as the receiving recital is angled :D. I only added the -06 because I can use bigger projectiles for larger game.

I can do everything with the -06 that I do with my 308 I just have heavier lead to choose from..

I have a gun shop here in town that will load to my requirements, they load for all the police and private government contractors out of my area. So I can get it set up any way I'd like.

Factory loads are great for general shooting and hunting I have box after box of the stuff.. But when a long range precession shot is in order I like the consistency of hand loaded rounds..
