He's shady to say the least. I've had personal dealings with the Kick brothers. They vend at some of my local shows. We all call his section the wall of death because he deals in a lot of wc animals all right beside high end balls. Rarely does anything good come from his tables. Those of you who don't know them becareful what you buy and just FYI they also go by the name reptile addicts at some of the shows.

Take a look at the animals they bring to shows. There are visible mites on half of them. I have seen a snake writhing and spitting up mucus. I pointed it out and he didn't seem concerned.

The only time I've ever heard of this guy is from the negative feedback on various forums. I can't believe he stays in business with all the things I've heard.

Thanks for posting the other name he goes by.

Rarely does anyone buy from him twice. At the local shows that we both attend no one that attends on a regular basis buys from him. he counts on the hundreds of first time expo goers and kids that dont know any better.

The sad thing is someone like this could produce a first I know I saw his name on WOBP. I know with what has been said here I would never buy from him.

Yea that sucks about the guy, sounds like Dan from DTS Herps. I'm glad the OP got their money back and that all of you who read this know not to buy from him in the future. I always do a lot of asking around before my money leaves my hand.

My first interaction with Fred Kick:

Saw a huge multi-table display at one of my first expos. Saw a very reasonably priced snake next to a number of very sickly looking animals.

I asked the guy behind the table what the name of the vendor was (no vendor name displayed) and he literally looked at me and just didn't say anything. I asked if they had a card as I was thinking of following up on the snake and he just shook his head. No name displayed anywhere on the whole setup, despite having one of the biggest displays at the expo, probably 5 or 6 tables.

I asked someone later if they knew who the vendor was because I couldn't believe how low the price was and that's when they warned me. It suddenly all clicked in place as to why the guy was extremely sketchy and unresponsive when I asked who they were and what their contact info was. Why would I buy from someone who won't tell me who they are? I looked them up on Fauna and I am pretty pleased that I didn't end up buying the snake.
