EVERYONE is being affected by these bills, including Democrats!! We need to stop scrabbling about party politics and start doing something!!! Remember that whole "united we stand, divided we fall" thing?

I would like to know if anyone in Congress has a snake, or a reptile for that matter? Because until they understand what they mean to us, they will keep pushing these unscientific bills. Most people think snakes are disgusting. That is the sad truth of the matter.

I am only 14, but if they EVER passed a ball that added ball pythons to to the Lacey Act, I swear I would sue the goverment.

While I personally don't have any of the proposed snakes, I am very worried that this bill opens the door for smaller, harmless snakes to be added.

During Obama's campaign, my mom and I canvassed for him. I knew more about his ideas and beliefs that any other 14 year old in my town. I supported him and I supported Democrats in general. Now that they are the ones spearheading this bill, I have lost every ounce of respect I have for them, and for politicians in general.

Banning these snakes would be flat out unconstituitional.

This bill has nothing to do with red or blue, left or right, democrat or republican. It is sponsored by a senator from Florida that happens to be a democrat.

Amen! This ought to be handled on a state basis. No big government. They need to stay the heck out of our business.

I agree. I am wrestling with myself big time right now. I wanted to get a male burm in the future to use for my educational programs. Now I might not have that chance unless I act soon... yet I don't feel ready. I hate that my hand is being "forced" in any way.

And the idiot animal rights activist backers that normal people support to "help the animals." I wish the American public would grow a brain stem....
