Typically I do pretty well on finals. But this year, my fluid mechanics final is worth 60% of my grade. :( So needless to say I'm pretty nervous about that.

To the music major - I used to play flute in HS, and I think playing in front of judges is the worst!! I had one year where I was so nervous my hands started sweating, and as a result I couldn't get a good grip on the keys in my audition. Kudos to you though, I know music is a hard major, good luck on your finals.

I'm finishing up my last two classes for my second A.S. (don't ask ) and since they're just gen ed requirements, I took the easiest online classes I could find.

I've got an open-book poli sci test, and a two-question mini-essay test for Eng Lit. It might take me a total of 3 hours, and I'm done until next fall.

    Thank you Ratemyprofessors.com! :gj: :D

Did my English final last week. FYI, don't take an online advanced English class unless you really like to write. If you sit in class, there's only so much you can contribute to a discussion if anything at all. But online you HAVE to make minimum word posts on everything. In class if you had interest in the topic you can participate, if you don't have much interest you can let those who do lead the conversation. Online it doesn't matter. I don't think the "teacher" taught me anything, just gave assignments and expected them to be done and you should know exactly how to do this because it's not a basic English class. That might be teacher specific. This wasn't my first online class but the first time I felt that way. WOW, that was more than I wanted to say on that....

Took my Calculus final today. I probably should have put more effort into this class, or showed up more, or done more homework on time as three of my classes next semester require me to get a "C" (Calculus 2, Physics 4A, Engineering 25 (Computational Methods of Engineering). I think I missed close to half of the class meetings, all but one quiz and did about 10% of the homework so my grade was almost completely based on test scores. I had a low "C" going into the final and how can I expect differently considering my effort? I sent the teacher an email earlier and asked if he could let me know as soon as possible what my grade is because it plays a big part on next semester. My final score raised my class grade 12% to a low "B"!!! I am so happy about that. I don't care about grades much, that's why I would have been happy with a "C", I think they just tell how good a student you are, not how well you know the subject.

Nutrition and Political Science finals are on Wednesday. In Nutrition I have more than 100% going into the final, teacher gives a lot of extra credit and curves tests, so thanks to the texters and talkers I scored over 100% on 2/3 tests given so far (115, 106, 92). Political Science I have scored high on everything and would pass without taking the final.

Next semester is not going to be fun. There are 3-2-2-1 sections of the four classes I have and a couple overlap times while work eliminates two options. That left me with a schedule that on Mon/Wed I have class from 1030-645 with a 5 hour break. Tues/Thur is 900-340 with a 4 hour break, though there is an optional lab for my C++ class in there. For the first time I have a Friday class, lab day for Physics and a lecture 1000-420 with and 1-1/2 break. I work 8pm-12am (Actually that's when I'm scheduled, I rarely get off by 12am, usually between 1-3am) Mon-Fri with weekends off. This is a fairly new position at work and a reason for many of my absences this semester. I wasn't expecting to have to stay late all the time.

I am done with two of my exams, the remaining two are looming over me. I have one tomorrow at noon which will be my toughest, I have over 400 notecards to memorize. The worst part is, the professor is only picking 4 terms out of those 400 to put on the test, but I have no idea which she will choose, so I have to know them all.... sucks. My other final is an essay, so it wont be too tough. Good luck everyone, and dont freak out too much!
