VERY PRETTY animal and nice pick-up Maki. :) -- and your photos look good!

Not only are the Caramel and Ultramel different morphs -- they age differently. Also, while Noah has certainly made more than a few Ultramel combos -- he has not released any photos. Therefore, any ideas about their combos' appearance would be a guess at this point.

I would add that the Caramels kinking problems are without a doubt one of the BIGGEST threads/lines of misinformation/misperception in the hobby to date. ;)

I have spoken with/know of more than a few experienced breeders who hatched 20+ PERFECT Caramels each year over the last 5-6 years with little or no kinking within a years production.

I believe that the Caramel kinking is GENETIC and not incubation temp/humidity related.

Facts point to kinking being "somewhat" isolated to early line breeding by one of the founding Caramel lines. I am not comfortable naming the line. :colbert:

The bottom line as I see it is that common thought would have you believe/infers that every third visual Caramel/Caramel combo is a "bent in half TRAIN WRECK" I find this notion abjectly ABSURD!!!

    Thanks everyone!

I just LOVE him! The Ultramel is a new morph from Africa. It is a recessive trait. They have a resemblance to Caramel Albinos, but I think they have more vibrant color. This snake was produced by Noah in Africa and purchased from Eric Crider. It cost a lot.

The color and the lack of history of kinking made me decide to get into Ultramels. I don't know what causes the kinking in Caramel Albinos, but it was enough to scare me.

Ultramels are not compatible with regular Caramel Albinos, hence the distinction in names. Eric Crider has a line of Caramel Albinos that are not compatible with the others and look like Ultramels (per Eric). They may turn out to be the same as Ultramels...time will tell.

Anyway, thank you for your kind words and interest!

Really? Was this one of those at the Anaheim show?

I got it from Eric Crider and it was shipped to me this past week.

By the way, would you mind posting pics side by side of the Ultramel next to a Caramel Albino? I think we'd all find it very interesting. Thanks!
