I have seen good and bad examples of each line of Axanthics.

thats true it is opinion, but its an opinion that is shared among many of the top breeders based on the average of each line. their is always exceptional and crappy versions of each. but yes an opinion.andishould of stated that in my post, thanks for pointing it out to others.

Being color blind sure doesn't help me with these Axanthic pictures.

    Here's some SKs:

Taken with filtered sunlight through my window, so there is a warm cast:

    Female-

These are not the best pics, but note there is NO yellow, just black, white & as these are adults- brown as well. When they are next to normals it's very obvious.

Viewers left is a normal, viewers right is an adult axanthic.

The animal in question (yours) has yellow pigment. It is most easily seen (to me) on its back and on the sides.

That is a great example of an adult axanthic period. Just because people post their throphy axanthic in pictures and videos and are very silvery looking does not mean every axanthic should be like that. Those are the exeptions not the rule.

My VPI does not a have a clear belly but I dont have a pic at hand at the moment. I hope you figure everything out. :gj:

This is what an axanthic should look like. She's an SK Axanthic. I've known her for 4 years, which puts her at 5 or 6 years old if I remember right, maybe older. There's no camera lighting tricks, that's her (obviously ovulating). This picture is right off www.jdconstriction.com jpman78 on here. This is the only axanthic I've met in person and she's extraordinary.

As for your responce about not being a newbie, I assumed you were a newbie because "is my normal a morph" threads are newbie threads. Sorry....
