HAHA Spank the monkey, the REAL monkey....I remember him at your booth Fatboy. Liked your setup, seemed you had sold/traded some stuff by early Saturday. I stopped by Saturday right when you were downing one of those $3.75 hot dogs!!!LOL!!! I was scared to ask for the lady to add chili, might bump the price up over $4!!!
I noticed that there were a lot of base line ball pythons there. A few booths had some Lesser pastels, lesser spiders, Silver streak and several Ivorys, Lucys and a wild Mojave with a solid stripe all the way down her back. Saw some good looking Retics and burms! VERY tempted on them!!! Dodged a close one!!!
I would like to see more hobbiest out there though. I can only hope that having the large burms and retics there will show the common public that, "it's not collectors with large snakes that kill people it's irresponsible people with large snakes that kill people."
Support your local Reptile Shows!!!!

Re: Raleigh Show
I saw some of those burms that I fell in love with. Took a while to convince the BF to let me bring home a morph for possible breeding reasons (WAAAAY later) and then when I was there and pointing out a tree snake I wanted he was like "Well get what you want" WHOA. He's lucky I know that we dont have space for too many big guys or I would have come home with arm loads.
And I didnt get to see a monkey -sniffle-

Yea...took very few morphs with me. That show is kinda different...lots of parents taking kids to the little zoo thing in the back with no intent on buying snakes. If they do buy they want a $25 pet. I sold and traded some Friday afternoon during the setup also. Traded a pin for 5 breeding sized girls that should breed late this year after a short quarintine. Sold some to other vendors Saturday morning during the VIP time. The black pastel on my display was actually one I bought Saturday early and just stuck him in an open spot and put sold on him. Even with sales low we had a good time meeting everyone. Would have made more money if I could have stayed away from the hotdogs!!

Re: Raleigh Show
Oh wait, I did see it! I heard a squeaking noise and the two of us were trying to figure it out and I think I saw a computer so I fig. it was that. Then, bam, that little thing! I didnt quite know what it was though, but I guess you learn something new everyday!
I saw that black pastel...I was eyeing it when I was at your table but it said sold. Haha. I was looking for a pastel, strangely, when I ended up getting that spider. Thanks again for helping with the sexing. I'm glad I asked about it because I didnt want a girl. I can imagine how hectic it is though when you have to move things around after it closes to move things back Sun, so I totally understand the mishap.
And yes, I have to agree about all the kids. At one point I wanted to rip my hair out because there was this girl that ame running up by me when I was checking out the spider screaming "I want to hold one, can I hold one?!!!!" and squeezing hand sanitizer all over her hands. I was like "Parents?" But anyhow, I bet if you guys go to the bigger places you get better stuff. Not quite sure about Raleigh, doesnt seem to be many people that are interested in herps unless they are at the vet school or in a bio class. But what do I know, I dont get around Raleigh much.
