*Cracks knuckles*
Ok..i'm hoping by now that you have noticed most of the people on this particular forum are professional/successful breeders/snake keepers that have the science of keeping exotic reptiles down to a pat.
Now, with that said, here is where I TOTALLY disagree.
Yes these are extremely sensitive animals that require care not readily understandable by most people who have only owned cats (not assuming you have, but their care requirements are not always known.)
I am by no means a "breeder" and have not been keeping reptiles for an overly large part of time. But from my experience and the experience I have gained from other reputable reptile keepers in my family, the wisdom you CAN gain on this forum, is not always the way things CAN go.
In your situation, I think you should keep a better eye on your snakes temperatures. It's vital to them. Given that you did not know, and the snake is fine, then no harm no fowel.
The temperatures/humidity listed as a "LAW" here, I feel are not always necessary. From my experience, BP's do just fine with lower humidity levels, successfully thriving on 20% humidity. Thought I do agree with raising humidity and having proper levels of temperature, they are not ALWAYS required to be at the specified temps.
With all that said, you are here now. There is a plethora of information available to you and your new pet. Spend sometime looking at all the information here, but by all means, see what fits you and your snake best.
Wish you the best of luck. Post some pictures of the "abused" snake you have there. I'm sure its gorgeous ;)
