You can be the example of the fastest turnaround...I got certified in around 2 weeks...And others took over a month if not longer...
Test package approval is pretty cut and dry and fall within the forum stated time frames...The legal documention is the part that takes a bit of time because many reps do not know much/anything about shipping reptiles...
Thus, if your certification process was 4 days...I'm in awe and once again...Sincerely, congrats to you...
Re: How to become FedEx Certified to ship reptiles....
Well I got word today that my package has passed the testing stage!
Bring on the legal paperwork.
Re: How to become FedEx Certified to ship reptiles....
ok i called and ask to talk to an account rep and they told me i don't talk to a rep and i needed to go to http://www.ipata.com and get a license.... wtf?
Re: How to become FedEx Certified to ship reptiles....
That doesnt sound right that you would be sent there...
I talked to mine today, and he is putting the request for legal paperwork in for me.
Just to make sure.. You do have a fedex acct, and you told the operator to give you to your rep?
They will send a message, I dont think they are all in the same phone system. I had no luck getting info on getting certified, so I sent the test package in without a lot of help. I got approved, and all they needed was the 5 digit # from my approval letter.
If you have not gone through this entire thread, you may want to. Some things have changed. The test form is one thing. The new one you can fill out on your computer, and they dont have to read horrible handwriting like mine. I think this is is it.

Remember to get the acct # to bill them when you print the shipping label up. That # is listed on the 1st page, I think.
Hope this helps.
