Instead i'm getting an 99-01 trans am ws6 around may, and i'm just gonna do boltons and have a 12.0'ish car that will stay mostly on the street. Since none of these cars are my daily driver.
I would love a cobra. lol
I like transams too tho. and older camaros and firebirds.

Re: How many have found "love" on the forum?
I don't care much for cars or football but as long as the guy doesn't mind me doing my thing while he does his I don't think I would really care if I found a guy my age that was into them and we clicked otherwise.I have my rescues and my dog agility to keep me busy. And boy do I wish I had gotten into the agility sooner cause its really hard on a 28 year old body. Its a whole lot harder than it looks.

Re: How many have found "love" on the forum?
Yeah, it seems most of the guys I know are too young,or taken, and for the most part not really into snakes. That's definately a requisite i have: must love animals, and NOT be afraid of or dislike snakes.:P

I do both, not so much street anymore since they have too many idiots that ruin it, but mostly on the track. Which I also kind of laid back with going so much, I go 2/3 times a month now unlike 8-9 times before. I have a 1997 Mustang SVT Cobra, which is going to be gone soon and i'm going to be gettina WS6 Trans Am.

Thems words you will wish you could take back. Not that it is a binding contract, but still .. you will be razzed when the Chevrolet's are kicking Honda's A in everything, or that new Dodge sports car is the fastest thing in it's price range. It's fine to not like what they offer now, but never is a strong word.
The new Camaro is being tweaked to go after the Nissan GTR times around the Nürburgring, and if that happens .. if you can get performance that rivals or beats a $70,000 car from $30,000 (with performance upgrades), that would be nothing to scoff at.

That is why I love the camaro. It really is great for the price. And it looks really good. :salute:
My dad wanted to buy a mercedes.... I was like :colbert: Just get a camaro. Half the price and just as good.

Re: How many have found "love" on the forum?
How did this thread turn from a "romantic connection" discussion to an argument about which country makes the best muscle cars??? :weirdface Talk about your off-topic drifts....
-
Re: How many have found "love" on the forum?
A lot of threads drift off topic, although this one I would primarily have to blame on me.
Mustangs prior 87-04(the only bodystyles I like) because I think the 05's are ugly, aren't really made for tall people. Myself being 6'0-6'1 and even having the seat back my knees were still by the steering wheel, on a 98-02 Trans am, I can sit more comfortably. As far as cars go, I would never make anything under 8 cylinders fast, primarily because they don't sound good at all, and it takes way too much money to make them do what you can make a v8 do.
So i'm still available.

Re: How many have found "love" on the forum?
pretty much all cars are built flemsey now, and plus its hard to find an American made car in manual now, everything is automatic and i hate that!

It isn't hard at all to find a manual, and studies show that people prefer automatics due to them not having to shift through gears in traffic. Also more american cars are standard then imports. Mustangs for example, a lot of them are standards, ALL of the SVT Cobras are standards, along with the shelbys.

from the way i see it, this thread has stayed on topic. it asked about love on the forum, the love for cars is just as if not stronger, how many can say that have loved the same person from 5-6 thru old age.

just off the top of my head mustang, vette, camaro, challenger, g8, and the gto all easier to find manual than auto.

Re: How many have found "love" on the forum?
I met my wife on a car forum. We personally met at a mutual friends house for a BBQ before a car show, and we have been inseparable since.
She doesn't mind the snakes and she enjoys breeding the rodents. She likes the mice and rats better than the ASFs though.

Re: How many have found "love" on the forum?
For american muscle I would say I'm a fan of: 2003 Mustang Cobra, 2009 Mustang, 2008 Dodge Charger, 2009 Chevy Camaro, Dodge Viper, Chevy Corvette (08 and 09 model)
For Foreign cars: Subaru Impreza (2005 I believe..), Mitsubishi Lancer Evo (2004), Toyota AE86 (1986 Corolla hatchback), Hyundai Tiburan, Nissan Sentra (2008), Honda Civic (any of them after 2006), Mazda Miata (almost any year model), Mazda RX-7, Nissan Skyline (2007)
-
Re: How many have found "love" on the forum?
The only foreign cars I would be caught driving are: 1996 Toyota Supra(6spd TT) and the Nissan Skyline, the late 90's model one.
Nothing beats american muscle though.

This thread has officially jumped the tracks. Maybe the mods will split it off to get it back on the rails?

Re: How many have found "love" on the forum?
well not everyone can buy a new car even if it is found in manual thats why we have the thread in the QT section about LIVING BEYOND YOUR MEANS! A honda will provide parts cheaper, easier to work on, and get great fuel economy and are not that expensive to buy in the first place...

Nobody said anything about a new car, and are you serious about honda parts being cheaper & easier to work on? If you really believe that then you haven't touched a car a day in your life. I work on cars as a little side job, since I useto work at a mechanic shop, Imports are about the worst thing to work on, and American parts are way cheaper, now lets get back off the subject about cars.

Re: How many have found "love" on the forum?
I met the love of my life on myspace,ha! She just sent me a friend request one day and I added her. I saw that she was a christian, liked doing things outside, wasn't afraid to get dirty riding fourwheelers, and was hott so I sent her a message saying I didn't know many pretty girls who weren't afraid of getting dirty(haha, that was my pick-up line:D). I told her I thought it was cool that she liked doing those sort of things and asked her a few questions about herself. We messaged back and forth for a couple of days and found out my two best friends were her cousins. We all went out to eat at the end of the week and have been together since then. She pretty much loves everything that I love and we have both been adding to our collection of pets together. We have bought two tarantulas, one fish, one hamster, and most recently our ball pyhton together and have loved every bit of it. She supports my passion for racing motorcycles and we share everything together. We're planning to get married sometime around this time next year and neither one of us could be more happy!

So what made her send you a friend request? Sounds like she's your perfect match! I love when that happens! :D

Re: How many have found "love" on the forum?
I would never try to change anybodys mind on their passions, so I expect the same if I find love. For instance, I don't go to church at all, however I would never stop somebody else from wanting to go, also I would expect the person i'm with to not force me to want to go to church. Other then that, hopefully one day we all find true love.

Re: How many have found "love" on the forum?
Im in a failing relationship. LOL I wouldn't mind finding love anywhere. My ex met her new man on World of Warcraft. Sadly, my perfect girl isn't out there anywhere.

OK, let's talk perfect girl for a bit.
Tarna from the animated Heavy Metal Movie.
Quiet, smart, can rock your world or kick your ass and quiet as a churchmouse.

Re: How many have found "love" on the forum?
That's a cute story Jason. Sometimes, religion can get in the way of a relationship. It's sometimes a tough call. But, if you respect one another's beliefs, and are both cool about it, than it's all good. And if someone says one more thing about CARS (unless it's a story about finding that special someone that one fateful night when your ball python got loose in your car, and he/she helped you find it) than you will be booted off this thread!!!!

Re: How many have found "love" on the forum?
Megan Fox would be my perfect girl. Hands down, and I think that's about the only girl I would give up my passions for, but who wouldn't?

Thats funny! This happened in my last relationship, but the snake did a better job of finding her! She called me the next day and didn't punch me in the face when it happened so maybe thats a sign she is a keeper.

Re: How many have found "love" on the forum?
since crystal rezzed the topic I poke fun at her and point out that we met on here and have been datting and such for about 8 months now lol...I just wished I could of met her years ago cause we enjoy each other's company more and more and dred the times apart ( since she in mid jersey and I am in lower Delaware 150 miles and about 2.5 hours north of me lol )
SO all the past post about a Gf it been her I refering too lol ( now goes into hidding until she stops tossing items my way Lol)

That's pretty cool, mechnut! :) I would actually love to meet a fellow herper (male), since it's pretty hard to find dates who "get" the hobby... last guy I told about the snake collection was pretty shocked, and not so keen on meeting them. Needless to say, that prospect fizzled pretty quickly.
So if there are any 35-45(ish) year-old single men out there, who live in/near the greater Bay Area... I'm single and ready to mingle! :D:D

Hahah! That's funny... I started collecting critters after I had been with my bf for 4 years. He isn't very fond of it but gives me little crap about them. I have tarantulas, geckos, chameleons, and snakes. :D I did meet him on Myspace though!

Re: How many have found "love" on the forum?
I play some WOW too ( currently account on hold cause between texting 4thesnakelady and getting all the reptile stuff done i don't have much interest or time ot do more than smelt a few bars for others. I rather text/talk to 4thesnakelady than play wow anyhow time with her is more fun than game lol( now if i can only keep up with her when we take a trip to Philly and such lol)
Right now between us I thingk we up to like 34 snakes and one spider ( as long as it not crawling on me she can keep it cause I terrifed of spiders( maily if i find it on me without warning or walk into a web) lol )
-
I've never dated a woman that was into animals at all. That would be pretty cool though. I guess you never know what is meant to be :D I think it might be too cold in my area to have a lot of reptile folks. I don't know any in real life.
