Kazboots, I am on your side on that. I agree completely. I will always try to turn someone to a shelter for a pet, rather than a pet store. Sometimes things have to be done to keep the rest of the animals healthy, but people can't see that. Instead they would rather pump more and more dogs into this world when their is plenty needing adoption.

I understand breeding certain breeds like hunting dogs, or work dogs, but just average pets can be had at your local shelter and usually make fine pets.

I need to put it in my signature or something, I do fine on sites where I have a cute little female avatar but not so well on forums especially reptiles ones where its natural to assume male first.

You could put an avatar of yourself on here. I generally always put he or him for people and her or she for animals (not making a comparrison or anything) but when sex is not known it sounds a lot better than "it".

Just to get it straight, I AM supporting what you said/do at the shelters. Didn't expect to get attacked over it though ;)

People should wear a sign around here

I figure, if you get upset by being mistaked for the opposite sex then you should advertise what you are. I could care less either way if someone thought I was a woman. My wife knows what I am, so I stay happy. :P

Not as often as some, some of whom were pleasantly absent not so long ago, make outrageous statements claiming studies and statistics back them up, but never, ever, offering proof of such.

    Eh, such is life.

I understood you meant other people, I bear no ill will.
As for the sexing issue simply stating it so people will know, I have used this name for 13years now and am used to people assuming one way or another.
On one UK forum people assumed my name was Sharon until discussion one day revealed it was not, apparently in some places Kaz is short for Sharon.

Thanks. I wouldn't want people around here thinking I am some PETAtard, or other bleeding heart type. I aint a very touchy feely type person when it comes to life and death issues I guess, but I have seen enough of it all to know that things like that have to be done sometimes.
