Re: What do you do for a Job?
I'm a court process server. I inform people that they are being sued and hand them court papers. It sucks 98% of the time, but it pays well and the worse the economy gets, the more work I get coming my way. It's like 60hrs/week mandatory right now and it's hard to keep up with what I got coming in.

Everything could still change of course, since I am just starting out. At this time I am thinking I would like to do companion animal/small animal practice with as much small exotic work incorporated in as possible. I am up for anything though, I am trying to go into school with an open mind to see what grabs me the most!

Hey good luck at the VET school. I hope my daughter makes that choice too. She's crazy about animals and plans on going to NCSU. Whatever makes her happy though! She's wanting a Ball Python now, that'll be her first snake.
I'm an Air Traffic Controller, did 21+ years active duty in the Air Force controlling and now work for them as a civilian Controller.

Thanks! State if definitely the place to be in NC for all Veterinary and Pre-Veterinary related classes and degrees. It is a great school, and I have loved my three years of undergrad. If she does decide to go that route then NCSU will definitely be the place for her. If she has any questions about the school (I am not sure how close she is to actually applying) feel free to PM me!

I run my own web hosting and consultant business
I free lance web development/SEO work

That shop is local to me, I went in there looking for support on the HR669 bill and the owner there could care less. Blew me off like I was selling girl scout cookies. They seem to keep their animals in good conditions but I've never really liked their attitudes.
As for me I work in the accounting department of a large natural stone fabricator/distributor doing accounts receivable and purchasing.

Oilfield trash that didn't get laid off yet.
I'm a wellhead service technician, which is pretty much an on call roughneck.
The oilfield is in the middle of one of it's crashes right now. Many of my friends and coworkers have been laid off recently.

I mean, im not scared of the dude, my arms are 2 x bigger than his and i train in jiu jitsu under matt serra, and i also train in muy thai...But he's the only guy who has what i need nearby..... So i usually just wait for when The guy Junior is working to go get my stuff... And i think i saw you in there asking about hr669,,,,,, was he saying something about it being crap, and that it barely even goes for reptiles and mostly fish?? If so, i was there listening haha...
