    If your married, i would still wait lol .... everybody i know that had one of who ever they were with arent even togetha soooooo that should tell you something right

    I voted that it was a bad idea.

    If I ever get a tattoo it will definitely be about or inspired by something that can never divorce me, leave me, or die.

    My wife and I have the same tattoo, we picked out a cross design, i have on my lower leg and she has on her low back. I think she still has it?!?!?! I havent seen it in forever lol:)

    I lean towards being one who thinks only something which has died (a parent, god forbid a child, a beloved pet, a close friend, a sibling, etc) should ever be written by name for life on one's body.

    Perhaps a living child or a pet you've had a while and are deeply bonded to would be okay. I would tat my 12 year old dog on me without any hesitation if I was not a severe needle phobic. (I chose totally natural childbirth of an 8 pound baby because that was truly fun to me compared to getting an IV, never mind an epidural! ;) )

    Put it somewhere so that in the event you go to a bar or something, no fine female will be like, "Who is Bertha, and why is she tattooed on your arm?" At that point I would just call it a night.
