One came out and I found him laying in the vermiculite. He was maybe 1/3 of the way out of his egg. He was the first one that had pipped and the smallest egg. :( The other one was still in his egg. this is egg #8. He was the first one to pip and he came about 1/3 of the way out of his egg. Once I determined he was not alive I slid him the rest of the way out...nothing was attached to the egg.

He just wasn't meant to make it. :(

The one on the left is the one that pipped first. Like I said...it came out on it's own and died.

the one on the right...I think the umbilical cord was wrapped around him. I actually loosened it up when I removed him from his egg but obviously too late.
