Stepping on something that MOVES or having a fish bump my leg swimming in the ocean. Freaks the hell out of me.

I'm okay swimming in a lake, nothing can eat me. (well at least not the freshwater I'm used to swimming in)

Monkeys and anything having to do with my kids getting hurt or lost. Those parents who may have lost a child in a busy mall probably know what I'm talking about. :O

I'm scared of my own imagination. I scare myself so much, I won't be able to sleep all night. I have a wild and desctructive mind that likes to think of the worst things that could possibly happen to me like white bodies that move freakishly fast out of a dark room towards me, as if your watching something in fast forward, but jerk rather than move smoothly as they come after you....

Wow, that's one that I think about a lot. Although, they have never reached me. I'm not sure what would happen if they did.

Oh, and mosquitos just... argh, they squeel so high pitched and get into your room right next to your ear while your trying to sleep, and bite your through the covers! I get the most painful mosquito bites, I think I'm allergic to them or something. I freak out when they're around.

Yea... I'm scared of myself and mosquitos. That's about it for now.

Nice picture!!! and yea, my imagination does the same thing. I made my basememnt into my room, and have my snakes down there with me. I just put the last snake I had in a tank into a tub- and now I'm terrified at night! U used to have the red light, so I could see a bit, but now I dont/ The dogs are the only thing letting me sleep :)

Deep, dark, cold water! Not lakes or rivers, but the ocean. I am 100% terrified of the cold water in the ocean, where you can't see the bottom. Add a boat to that scenario and you have a disaster with a a lot of swearing.

Thanks to the wonderful (sarcasm) boat trip I took with family through the San Juan islands!

When I said ghost I wasn't playing at 24 I sat with my eyes shut through "the Grudge" and slept with the lights on for two days and I moved into a house where three people died the last one 4 days before we moved in.

So needless to say I don't stay there alone much.

4 days before you moved in? Thats nuts, and kinda spooky. My gf is deathly afraid of ghosts and stuff like that, she watches those ghost shows on tv and wont leave my side for a while lol

there's nothing I've found that gives me that sort of extreme reaction.

ticks give me the willies but I can and do deal with them regularly.

being chased by a psycho will leave me with the shakes once it's over. so far only road rage incidents - never actual psycho killers :)

    Spiders... I'm working on it.

Scary movies.. I can't do it.
I get too emotionally attached to the characters, and worry about them for DAYS afterwards. Not healthy.

There are a couple more minor things, but yeah...

Spiders as well....I have gotten better, but I still really freak out about them. There was a big one (to me) on the ceiling of the front porch the other day and my b/f made fun of me b/c I wouldn't use the door and walk under it...I went through the garage and out the back door! :P

And ticks...they didn't used to bother me but several years back I had one bite me so he was still on the outside of my sock. I freaked out so bad my mom had to come get it off for me, and until she got there I couldn't hardly move. Since then I have had a really hard time with them.

I loved "the grudge"! Especially that wailing, growling noise she made! Kelly who punch me for waiting till the lights were out in the bedroom, then imitating that sound. I pissed her off doing it for a couple of weeks!!!:banana:

I always hope there are ghosts, because I want to see one!!!:D

I guess that is why I have 24 mannequins in the house. If they are standing over you it's almost like another presence in the house!!:) I have one flanking each side of my computer desk!!

I have things that scare me (like flying on airplanes, taking my kids in the ocean/ or basically any harm/loss of my kids, and I CAN'T do scary movies either), but I don't think any of them terrify me to the point of immobility.

I did learn that I can scream like a girl when it comes to Palmetto bugs though.

I love bats! If you look close they have such tiny cute faces. When you hold one they are so soft!!! Their little wings are soft to the touch also. It amazes me how many people fear them. When we go to the zoo our first stop is the bat house.

I remember camping one time and my stepfather telling me that they were more afraid of me than I was of them. No more than 10 seconds pass and one flies into the side of my head and gets stuck in my hair (I had pretty long and thick hair ... well still do). Gave me the willies for the rest of the night, but now I'm completely cool with them. Although I still debate that there was no way, on God's green Earth, that they were more afraid that particular night. lol :giggle:

I'm good with bugs as long as they don't land on me. (even then I just have to flick it off ... sometimes rather quickly) I have to be cool, otherwise the daughter completely flips. I've picked up all sorts of critters to prove the point that they're harmless.... Heck, one time I had to walk home with a monster worm so that we could 'save' it by keeping it in our garden. The things we do for our kids.

Hate to break it to you but your problem biters aren't skeeters.

Nope, not at all. Most of them can't penetrate cloth.

Spiders now, they can, will crawl under, and tend to leave a wound that is much more painful than a mosquito's nibble.

Did you know the average person swallows 6 or 7 spiders, while sleeping, over the course of a year?

Well.. I figured it out with the june bugs. I am fine with them being around until they fly. Why? Not sure. I am not at all afraid with bees or even wasps flying around me.. I just stay still and they move on. I think that it is the june bug's erratic weird flight that scares me.. see, I have long hair. If one got stuck in it; yikes! And the way that they Crunch if you squish them.. I don't go outta my way to kill them though. We had one in the house last night, and I scooped him up in a napkin and tossed it outside. Why? It was neater and cleaner than squishing it and having the insides crack all over!

    Re: things that Terrify you?
    I am actually quite a scaredy-cat! lol

My phobias are roaches, heights, and volcanoes.

All of these are ridiculous and irrational. I know roaches can’t hurt me but I go into hysterics if one lands on me or even gets close. I can't even make myself get close enough to squish them.

Being afraid of heights is pretty common but even when I am scuba diving when I am descending I get scared of the distance between me and the bottom (dumb I know).

As for Volcanoes, I live in Florida......

I am also scared of anything happening to my daughter, the dark, scary movies, monkeys, knives, ghosts and German Shepard’s (no other kind of dog).

That’s all I can think of right now. It's kind of amazing that I can get out of bed! :D

This pic was found in a wall when we were remodeling. Ever since we never feel alone. It always feels as if someone is in the room. It used to freak Kelly out, but we are totally comfortable. Most houses when you walk in has an empty feel or ring to it. Not sure if it is anything, but I call it Ralph from a dream I had. When we ripped out the library ceiling about five cards with a 5 digit phone number fell from the ceiling. The name on it was R. Brown. The sign holds a spot of respect in the house.

That actually sounds pretty frightening if your out in the open ocean ya know? Being miles from anything.... with just the dark blue of the ocean surrounding you, and not even being able to see the bottom.... Yup, I'd be nervous in that situation

Making a left turn in a car and running over a stray animal.

Stupid I know but I will go out of my way not to make a left. I will make a left if there is a green arrow stop light.

I've never ran over an animal but it freaks me out to see a stray walking down the street. I'm more afraid of seeing it get ran over than actually being the one to run it over.
