I wish I had more opportunity to wear nicer clothes as well. It just seems silly when I'm headed to the gym or to pick the kids up from school. The one time I did dress a bit sexier (because the husband kept saying the shirt was perfectly fine), I went our local Walmart and was totally skeezed out by at 70 year old man who followed me around the store. EWWWW!!! :bolt:
I've lost a considerable amount of weight in the last couple years, so it's hard to feel sexy when most of your clothes are at least two sizes too big. I'm trying to be comfortable with my body regardless of the clothes I'm in, and I find that's the hardest thing.

Re: LADIES!!! A Q for you...
*raises hand tentatively* I'm a pretty girly girl, for what it's worth. I'm not really a skirts/dresses type (unless it's a special occasion) but I do like to pair my jeans with "cute" tops (never t-shirts). I own 3 pairs of shoes: flip flops, boots (the "combat"-type) and some Asics sneakers for the gym :) Admittedly, if my feet weren't both wide and a strange size (not-quite 9, not-quite 9.5), I'd be a shoe person, too :) I long for a pair of Mary Janes and "stripper heels" ;) And I never leave my apartment without some powder on my face (my face gets shiny without it), mascara and lip gloss on. I'll get more elaborate with my makeup and use eyeliner and eyeshadow when I'm in the mood, but powder, mascara and lip gloss I consider "the basics".
Anyway, my favorite places to get really cute and/or sexy tops are: H&M, Charlotte Russe, and Rue 21. Nice-looking things that are also inexpensive are what I'm after when I shop for clothes :) For lingere and my day-to-day bras, I go to Fredricks of Hollywood.
I wear Victoria's Secret body spray/lotion/perfume in the "love spell" scent. When I want a more perfume-like smell, I wear a perfume called "Amour, Amour" by Cacheral.
For make-up, I wear Physician's Formula concealer powder (I have sensitive skin) and Cover Girl "Fantastic Lash" mascara. The lip gloss I SWEAR by (and have converted all my friends to) is from Bath and Body Works. It's from a company called CoBigelow, and it's in a green tube--it has peppermint oil in it and it looks, feels and tastes good!
Um...I guess that's it? ;) I'm not the type that needs 3 hours to get ready, but I like to look nice and I generally spend about 45 minutes in the morning between showering, dressing and throwing my face on. Now you all know my dirty secret!

Oooh, I see--you need both time and money for this to work. I'm lacking in both! Ha really though--I used to spend too much money on clothes when I had to look a little nicer at my job. Now I can get away with my jeans and tees so I spend my clothes money on gecko food, racks, and other herp supplies. I can't really remember the last time I bought an item of clothing... I just have better things to spend my money on and better ways to spend my time (and i HATE clothes shopping!).

I wish--every time I go shopping for heels, I leave empty-handed and frustrated. Some day, that perfect pair of F-me shoes will appear on a shelf and my life will be complete ;)

I'm not sure of the definition of those, but that's what my husband calls my boots.

Re: LADIES!!! A Q for you...
By no means am I a girlie girl, But I feel if you are feminine or not my idea always works. I wear blazers with dress slacks. Granted I wear mens shoes but take and swap it out with heels and accessories and any girl should be set to go!!:)

lol I don't think I've heard that term in a long while.
I still have tons of shoes that I love with some pretty high heels since I'm so short, I just don't tend to wear them much anymore. I work out of home so I'm a sweats, jeans and shorts type of girl. I may even spend my day in my PJs sneeking out in them to take my son to and from school.... like today!! ;)
I do enjoy the finer things in life but since I don't go out as much as I used to, I don't see the point in wasting time and money on it for the time being. Oh yeah and my battle to loose wieght after quiting smoking has kept me from clothes shopping too.... :tears:
When I dress up it could be in slacks, dress, skirt, and in the rare case a gown. I guess it just really depends on the evenings events. (I'm still having a hard time deciding what to wear to my wedding in 4 weeks. lol Are you going to make it Heather?)

You sound alot like me! I love the LoveSpell scent. And Phys. Formula makeup is where it's at. I love mineral powder. I do not overdo it, like you said; just some to take the shine off.
For me, eyeliner is a necessity. I would rather wear scummy barn-dirty clothes and eyeliner, than a designer suit without. My eyes just always look sleepy without it (and no I am not on any drugs!)
I have my morning routine down to 25 minutes. 5mins. for makeup. 5 mins for dressing (I shower the night before and put out clothes at night also.) 10 mins to eat cereal and brush teeth. Gone! It takes me longer to drive to work than to get ready.

There are a total of 65 threads on bp.net that have the word "haft" in them.
Now before you wonder why in the world I know this or care, I saw this last night and was going to reply but decided I was too tired. Then today I couldn't remember what thread I saw it in. So I searched for "haft". Go ahead and wonder why I thought it was important enough to search for it, because I'm not sure I can answer that!
My boyfriend teases me all the time when I start talking about "hafting" to do things. I grew up in So. Cal., so I assume it is something I picked up there.
HAHAHAHA!!! Well... I'll HAFT to use it more often! LOL! :P
