Re: any earlobe stretchers?
Yea... a vertical labret. I've seen it on a few pics, and it looks cool, but I've also seen some that make me cringe. (maybe its just the ugly mug that the piercing is on)
I dont know if I would like the vertical one better or just the plain ol stud under the lip.

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
Chris thinks a labret is ugly and forbids me to get it :devilish:

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
I love the look of the vertical labrets but Joe would disown me. It took him forever to stop being grossed out by my naval/belly-button ring and I got that done when we first started dating. Now that he has semi-control over my body he forbids any more piercings. He hates them. It's so frustrating because it's like living with my dad again. -lol-

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
Well I put these little hoops in, to see how it'd go. I managed to shove one of them so that the thicker part is in my ear (in pic.) The other one, I was lucky to get the normal-earring-post part in!
Yeah, I have a small mole on my ear.. lol

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
Anyone have a septum piercing. My hubby said that it was the worst pain ever for him. I think that it looks cool on certain people. That's my opinion on piercings; certain ones look AWEsome on some people whole stupid on others. ;)
That sounds like snakebites, Pat? Or are those down more?

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
My friend also.. said that she never had to stretch her earlobes on purpose! She grew up in the 1980s-90's, when heavy big hoop earrings were in fashion. She said that they stretched accidentally! She now has plugs in them.

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
I've had my ears stretched for 4 1/2 years.. sorry for the weird picture, I look really dirty in it.

I want the one that starts in the lip and come out under the lip just like what you described.
I found the exact pic!

Help needed!! I found a few of those half-moon looking ones and can autoclave them here (metal, not plastic)
So once they're sterile, do I just shove them in?

only so far, you dont want to tear your ear, but you want to go the next gauge up from your normal earrings :) if they are the next gauge up, then, they should be alright, go with whats comfyish

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
Here goes! It went in with no pain, just a weird stretching feeling and no blood. I feel no tearing. It's not the half-moon one; those were too big. It's a curved barbell.

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
The piercing itself is pretty old. I told myself, I don't want any tearing, and if I felt any real pain or discomfort I would stop putting the taper in. Well, it went in, a bit wider than the diameter of this ring actually, so I went for it, and this one went in without tearing! Now oddly, my other ear will not even allow the tapered crescent thingie to go to where you can even see the tip out of the back of the lobe. I now have a "normal" stud in there (the width of those studs that they use when someone gets a "normal" ear piercing.) Maybe I should hang my keys on that side.. hey, I wouldn't lose them then! (Ok, I still would..)

Hanging is a really bad practice for small gauges. Dont start doing anything like that until atleast a 6g. Its what the industry called cheese cutter ear. Like a thin wire getting pulled through cheese. Look at some of your grandmothers ears... :colbert:

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
I would guess that this is a 14 gauge in my ear now. I am not really sure why this hole was so much bigger than my other ear. Maybe a dangling earring got caught on something years ago and I forgot? Could be a possibility..

Is this considered hanging? I put this in today with no tearing at all. The balls are pretty heavy. It's PVD coated titanium I am told.

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
I had mine stretched out to 3/4" but I took them out. I am thinking about gauging them out again. Hot Topic has these cool 3/4" plugs that are clear and have a real beetle in each one. They are awsome looking!:headbang:

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
I don't want to go much bigger with mine; I just like the look of a thick barbell in them. I also like the crescent-moon tapered ones. A real beetle; sounds cool!

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
Way back when, I took my ears from 12ga to 4ga in something like a month with no tearing. I borrowed 10, 8, and 6ga jewelry from friends, and gave each one about a week. I also used KY Jelly on them, and most popped right in with no pain whatsoever.

Re: any earlobe stretchers?
Wow; that is a Fast progression! Glad you didn't get any nasty blowouts.
Here is my left one (actually, the one that gives me the most trouble, as the stupid piercing was crooked from when I got it pierced 14-odd years ago by a "gun" at the mall.) As a teen I had to re-pierce it but I didn't do it any favors, as it was still crooked. Now I think that things are working out better with it.. this is a view from the backside; I am proud to say, no blowouts! My right ear is straighter but None of the pics I took of it came out.
Do you-all experience some crusting, especially overnight? They are Not bleeding but do have a weird crusty goo that comes out. I read that this is dead skin cells..
These are both 12 gauge.
