yea, it's good news in the long run. He has the time/money/space to give her everything that she needs, and I know him well enough to know that she's in good hands. He's also compensating $300 worth of expenses I've invested (even though actual total is a bit higher, I'm not complaining. It was money well spent).

I know it's hard Ben but you've made a decision in the best interests of Maddie even though it's hurting you to do so. That's a wonderfully loving and very mature decision to put her needs above your own. Maddie has a very special friend in you Ben!

Thanks Jo, turns out he's going to be in town this weekend anyways, so he's going to pick-up Maddie a lil later in the afternoon. He knows that if it doesnt work out, to give me a call as a shelter or whatnot is not acceptable in my eyes. So... yea. There's that.

It's awesome that you were able to improve her situation, though. Just think of her life now/with your friend, versus what she had. You did a hundred worlds' worth of good for her :) I had a cat that I rescued, and it was not realistic to keep her, so she now resides with friends of ours, where we can see her. :)

AWWW!! She looks EXACTLY like my old pit, Bella Donna. The diffence is though that Bella was all black- the the head is exact! But Bella was quite a bit bigger in the chest- and belly area. lol. Congrats- she beautiful!

Well, she just left me. It's sad, but at the same time happy because I know she's going to a good home. Gotta admit, the bed feels empty now. lol

I hear ya, I think it's sad, but I'm not destroyed because I knew it would happen and that it needed to as well.

Just got a phone call from them, turns out that now that she's in her new home and has alot of room to run and play and junks, she isn't as shy as she was earlier. She's apparently having alot of fun out rough housing with anyone willing to get tackled by a 50lb dog. They took her to a dog park today, and on my orders, on a leash, where she got to meet a few other dogs, and she's semi-outgoing. She's rushing up to them, takin a sniff, then running 15 feet away or so and watching the other dogs reaction, and then repeating... weird... overall, I'm really happy about the situation and am just glad I got to have the time with her that I did. It sure makes me happy thinking about how scared she was when we picked her off the side of the road and watching all her improvement since then. I am pretty sure this is gonna be the end of the updates as she's finally found a loving (and lasting) home.
