Re: Your future pet "wish list?"
I want to expand my BP collection so badly. I am getting rid of a pastel right now, but want to collect:

    1.0 Blue Eyed Lucy
    1.0 Super Cinnie
    1.0 Pied
    0.1 Albino
    0.1 Pinstripe
    0.1 Pied (my absolute fav!)
    0.1 Fire
    0.1 Ivory

You can really multiply all those numbers by about 30k, because I will be collecting for life! heh, thanks for this post, its always nice to try and figure where I want to go with projects.

Arabians are absolutely great horses for they're temperment. Plus they are certainly not dead on their feet. They have the stamina to go for long rides and can run pretty darn fast. And they can be the sweetest horses. I have an arabian mare and now a gelding who we bred from her. They are both purebreds and are so calm! We have never even formally "broken" Kahreem yet (the gelding), he's just green broke, but he just loves people so much that he doesn't care what you are doing to him. we have gotten up on him and ridden him a bit and he doesn't even budge, not even the first time.
Plus they are a slightly smaller horse, so are perfect for younger riders as well as adults.

Re: Your future pet "wish list?"
Well with dogs.. especialy show/performance dogs, things get planned out years in advance!

Here's our list, in order of "estimated time of arrival"

    1. another BP - I'm wanting a spider for the next one... :)
    2. another Doberman, female - any color as long as she's pick b*tch of the litter and easily finishable! I need to get her before Ilsa dies, so she can teach the new girl how to be the queen-bee. NO WAY am I having a doofus male running the pack!
    3. two Sugar Gliders - that's what the fiance wants, so that's what he gets... after all, he puts up with my dobes and the python... might as well let him have his flying squirrels.
    4. another Pembroke Welsh Corgi, female, hopefully red-headed tri - the color I originally wanted, but the corgis are technically my fiance's dogs... so he got first pick on color with Ada.
    5. yet another Doberman, male, black - this one is already reserved, will be imported from the UK. He can't come home until my existing male dobe dies though - and knowing Ronin, that could be 10 years from now!

Re: Your future pet "wish list?"
Well, of course I have plans for a few more balls. But in terms of animals I'd just love to own with no breeding intentions:

    1. A Brazilian Rainbow Boa- I think this one might actually happen if I go to the Los Angeles show in January. I think they're gorgeous! :tongue2:

    2. Crested geckos-This is another LA pickup possibility.

    3. A blue merle Cardigan Welsh corgi- My favorite kind of dog! Not anytime soon though, one dog is enough for my wee little apartment.

    4. An emerald tree boa-This is really more for my hubby, I'm not quite confident enough to get one of these guys. Not to mention, I'd rather have the space for a good sized enclosure.

That's my realistic list. I'd also love to have a few horses one day. And enough herps to fill my own snake room! :D

Re: Your future pet "wish list?"
Realistic (Possible in the next few years:)
A registered Maine Coon cat bought as showable, preferably a male. (I have an unregistered part Maine Coon male right now who is SOOO gorgeous and has the best personality, but he HATES other cats...and technically he's my moms. Gonna wait till I move out.)

More Ball morphs: axanthic, spider, mojave, het pieds.

    GTP.

Future: 4-10 years, when I have a house and land
A chocolate with flaxen mane and tail Rocky Mountain Horse, preferably a mare, registered, without the graying gene, between 15 and 16hh.

    An ostrich.
A male and a female kestrel.
    A harris hawk.
    A gyrfalcon.

    UNREALISTIC:
An ornate hawk-eagle. Picture here -- I believe it's illegal to own them, as they're endangered.
    Dragon - Self explanatory...XD
    Gryphon...once more...XDD

Oh, and I'd also like an import registered purebred Friesian mare who's been shown to ster, but I don't think I'll EVER be able to lay down $30,000 for an animal...

Re: Your future pet "wish list?"
This thread is dangerous....sooo many things I want!

    Realistic(in the next few years)
    -Hog Island Boa
    -Het Ivory Boa
    -BCC True Guyuana Redtail pair
-Ball morphs of course, but to name a few, Bee, Pied, Spotnose, Genetic stripe, Black pastel....etc
-Pitbull, Husky, English bulldog, Doberman (hopefully from a shelter, im kind of against buying dogs when there are ones that can be rescued)
-Siamese kitty (again hopefully from the shelter)

Slightly less Realistic (in the next 5-10 years)
-any horse at all, but preferably a Paint, an Appaloosa, a Buckskin, or a Palomino
    -Meruake Green Tree Python
    -Motley Boa
    -Bismark Ringed Python

    Unrealistic (probably wont ever happen)
    -Olive Python (tooooo big)
-Gaboon Viper (i wont keep hots, dont want to die....)
-Ornate Flying Tree Snake (soooo rare)
    -Monkey (i would feel bad....)

    I think thats about it......

Re: Your future pet "wish list?"
Basically anything I want is unrealistic at this point! I have 2.4 snakes, 1.4 cats, 2.2.2 sugar gliders, 1.2 rats, and 1.0 tarantula so I don't have the time for anything else :(

When I move out I'm going to try to talk my mom into letting me get a dog - I mean, people are less likely to break into a house if there is a dog and she should want me to be safe, right? Lol, we'll see how far I get with that.. I would love to have a pit bull or bull terrier (they would make me feel safe, I also LOVE basset hounds but I don't think they could scare anyone!), but I get kind of worried about large dogs and cats since I had a friend whose 2 standard poodles kill her cat one day. Another problem I have is that I would only want to adopt a dog, and I think it might be hard to find a puppy of a breed I actually like, I would want to raise a dog with the cats so I wouldn't have to worry about problems between them.

I would LOVE a Norwegian Forest Cat, Sphynx, or a pure breed Maine Coon (I have 2 Maine Coon mixes now), but I could absolutely never bring myself to buy a cat from a breeder when there are already so many now in pounds that need home - I figure I would love a pure breed, but I get so much satisfaction knowing that the 5 cats I have now have homes because of me. I saved up a couple hundred dollars to get a bengal I saw at a pet store in Scottsdale 2 years ago, after I did I just couldn't do it and I went and adopted my cat Leah from the Humane Society, best choice I ever made!

Re: Your future pet "wish list?"
    Hhmmmm... I guess I'll play...

    -Any ball morph
-Skunk (as soon as I move back to a state where they are legal)
    -Short tail opossum
-Clydesdale horse (I have a paint and an ex racer, but I would LOVE to ride one of these)
    -Any mastiff/bully breed dog
    -Serval cat
    -Bantum chickens (so cute!)

and probably tons more that I'm forgetting.

But this is what I will fly in falconry, no matter what:
-American Kestrel (trapping one this season)
    -Ferruginous Hawk
    -Great horned owl
-An eagle of some sort. Possibly a golden or an ornate. But man, do you have to jump through a lot of hoops to fly one!

And probably more to come. :P

Re: Your future pet "wish list?"
    Ball Pythons:
Pied EVERYTHING!! Lol I love pieds and love seeing the trait combined with other morphs, even if the coloring comes out as just a spot on the head! Can't afford any right now, but maybe with some success this breeding season I can pick up a het pair :please:

    Other snakes:
Blood pythons, Japanese rat snakes....other than that don't have much of a wishlist, lol! I love the coloring on Jungle Carpets, Rainbow Boas, etc. but after working with them and several other snakes that I used to want badly at the store, familiarity has bred contempt and, temperament-wise, they just aren't up to par with the Balls.

    Lizards:
More pygmy chameleons!! I just got 3 a couple of weeks ago and am so addicted! Man these things are like little lizard candy. I'm getting 3 more in the next couple months, already have their tank all set up for them.
Carpet chameleons: These are my FAVORITE chameleon, small size and GREAT colors. Too pricy for me right now though, and finding CB ones can be tricky.
Blue Tree Monitors (Varanus macraei): We have a pair of these at the pet store where I work, and they are GORGEOUS. Although they're not handleable (both of them are adult imports), they have great personalities and are so much fun to watch! My favorite is to show them their mouse before I give it to them; they'll both start tracking it through the glass and then give you a dirty look, like "Give it to me now!" They were both very shy when we got them, wouldn't come out, wouldn't eat in front of people, and were in the back room for around 6 months, but now that they've settled in they're on display and huge hams for their adoring public! I beg them to make babies every day :please:

Other: Dart frogs, either Blue Auratus or Azureus. I'll probably get these within a year, I've got an enabler that keeps trying to set me up :D

    Far future:
Fancy Chickens, love the bantam types! Not allowed where I live now.
An Arab, I love Arabians, even though the last one I rode a lot was a little spaz
A Galapagos tortoise: Probably no way I'll ever get one! There are some at the zoo where I volunteer, tho, they're so funny! They seem to have a lot more personality than the other tortoise species there for some reason.
Alpaca, for the fiber! I will make some LUSH yarns!
Various types of sheep, goats, etc. for the same reason as the Alpaca.
A big pond with swans & ducks! No geese, I am anti-goose ever since one bit me on the bum :colbert:
    And Peacocks! Just for randomness.

The following will come in the next 1-5 years (I hope):
    0.1 Ballpython normal
    0.2 Cornsnakes
    Sandboas
    GTP
    Rainbow Boa
    group of oscars

    These will remain a dream:
Blue Pitbull, they are kind of illegal in germany, but i love them.
    Bull Mastiff, same problem.
Maine coon, they need too much time, had two with my ex and they were great.
A racehorse (trotter), way to expensive and chances it pays its own food are pretty slim.
Gaboon Viper, looks way too cool, but i wont keep hots.

Re: Your future pet "wish list?"
In order of what is realistically available to me at the moment.
    1.) Albino BP
2.) Solid Black German Shepherd Dog
3.) A pair of Mexican Wolves
    4.) Bengal Tiger
    5.) Caracal
    6.) Snow Leopard

Although 3-6 would technically be for work, they'd still be my babies. I'd just be educating the general public about them while they're my pets!
