Re: Breeding for attitude rather than morph..
There is so much hostility on some of these threads.. it's ridiculous. If people can't hold an intellegent debate (or retarded one for that matter) without getting their panties in a bunch, they shouldn't be here. Take the attitude to the gym where it belongs.
WingedWolf hasn't personally attacked anybody in any of the responses I've read, yet he gets flamed all day for having an opinion which conflicts with mainstream views. It's childish. 90% of you wouldn't act this way to a person if you were to meet them irl, so why do it here? I personally enjoyed reading everything Wolf had to say, as well as all other points of view. I do believe this is a great topic for debate, but I agree that it is also one that should stand on factual grounds rather than opinion alone. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with your experiment Wolf. Cheers.
It almost seems like once the question that the OP brings to the table has been culled, the shouting matches begin. IMO, let the thread die at this point.
Re: Breeding for attitude rather than morph..
Okay folks this has been a decent debate/discussion thus far. Let's leave it at that level and not go places where it becomes less than that. :)
Re: Breeding for attitude rather than morph..
I read somewhere about incubation temperature correlates directly with temperament in some instances...that may have been a corn snake book, but I distinctly remember that passage and thinking to myself...hmm...wonder why everyone doesn't breed for an easy-going temperament if that is, in fact, true.
BTW, nice forum, wish I had found this a long time ago!!:P
Re: Breeding for attitude rather than morph..
This topic is very appealing to me as my BP has such a super friendly, warm, docile personality that he has always seemed domesticated to me and I find it strange to hear of the many cautions and warnings online concerning their care. Hell, I feed him thawed mice (with tongs) on my lap! Except that he got loose and every day that passes that i don't find him the less tame he seems. (he's playin' me)
