Re: A Note from Adam Wysocki
Thank you everyone ... you have no idea how much these posts have lifted our spirits over the past week. This place truely is the best community on the internet!
We're home from the hospital (again) and getting back to normal. Jason is doing very well and actually was cleared to go to school today for the first time this year. He was very excited about starting the first grade and seeing him smile the way he did this morning was amazing ... he's an incredible little boy.
I wrote up everything that went on over the last week and posted it up on my blog ... some of you guys have heard it and others have not ... I apologize for not doing so well at keeping in touch with both friends and customers ... it was a rough week. I don't know if anyone will care to read what I wrote, but it's there ... it's very personal and probably boring to most, but I needed to write.
I'm just getting started at responding to emails, pm's, txt messages, and returning phone calls ... there were a ton while I was away ... I will respond to every single one ... so if I owe you, hang in there, I'll make it right.
Thank you again guys .... from me, my family, and from my son Jason ... we are all greatful to have the support of so many people ... you guys rock!

Re: A Note from Adam Wysocki
Adam, what can I say. Sitting here having read your blog, knowing you as the parent you are and having a child so close in age with your Jay....well my friend, the tears came easy. Took me back to our Bethie and the MRI's and the fear of more convulsions, the praying for the tests to come out okay, the rethinking every moment of the child's life trying to find a reason this is happening. It turned out okay for my girl and it'll turn out okay for your boy. With so much love and prayers surrounding that precious child, with the good care of his parents and the watchful eyes of his doctors, he'll come through this Adam and so will you.
I hope Jay enjoyed his first day of big boy school (I know Mikey is now terribly disdainful of the "kindergarten babies" himself). Give that wonderful kiddo of yours a big, big hug from the Franchino's please and one for yourself too. He's a strong boy that takes after his dad...nothing will hold that young man down for long!

Re: A Note from Adam Wysocki
Adam, while I dont know what is going on yet I want you to know that I and others are praying for you and to never loose sight of God in this time of hardship in your life. It is amazing what the power of prayer can do.
Take care,

Its good to see you back Adam, read your blog and I can't imagine what you and your son have been through. I hope all goes well and he grows up to be a spitting image of his dad.

Re: A Note from Adam Wysocki
Wow Adam, I just finished reading your blog and I am trying to regain my composure. I can't imagine just how terrifying the entire experience was for you and your family. You and your entire family and everyone who loves Jason continue to be in Karl and my thoughts and prayers.

Re: A Note from Adam Wysocki
Just finished reading here as well... woh, you poor people. And that poor kid! All those needles... I'm really afraid of them as well so I know how he felt. It took the RN tricking me to be able to get my IV in when I had my daughter.
At any rate, I'm glad things turned out well for you and your family, Adam. Hope they stay great, and get better with time.

Re: A Note from Adam Wysocki
My son had surgery at age 3, and we loved that orange loopy stuff. Although he HATED the taste. It made the situation a lot easier for all of us. That's some good stuff. :gj:
I really don't know how you are able to form a coherent thought. My heart goes out to you and your family. I know Jason will be back to 100% in no time at all.

Re: A Note from Adam Wysocki
Wow, just wow. I am in tears reading from reading your blog Adam. Anyone who is a parent knows there is nothing worse or more scary in the world than when there is something wrong with your child and not knowing what it is at first is almost more than you can bear. My daughter had heart problems when born so I know from personal experience how all of this can affect you. I am sure you already know but everyone here at BP.net is behind you and your family 100%. Don't worry about us here, focus on what is truly important and know that your friends here as well as your customers understand.

Re: A Note from Adam Wysocki
Wow....I finished reading that earlier and I had tears in my eyes. I don't even have any kids and I was ticked off when I read that they tried to keep you out during the spinal tap. My heart goes out to you and your family. I'll be praying for you, and with all the strength Jason has coming from you and your family, he will be able to pull through with ease. Your an amazing person and a great dad, and I hope that I can give that much to my kids when I have some. ^_^

Re: A Note from Adam Wysocki
I just finished reading your blog, Adam, and can't even imagine what you have been through. I have young kids myself and always worry when the slightest thing happens to them or when they get sick. I was almost in tears myself reading what you wrote. I will continue to keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Re: A Note from Adam Wysocki
Good to have you back Adam. It sounds like your son is a trooper which means you also need to be a trooper by default ;) It's amazing how strong kids are and how much they can endure while still keeping a smile on their face. As a father of a two year old I know how much much we love our kids and at times that love can be overwhelming. It's beautiful but can be very scary if you let your mind wonder on you. That being said I really can't imagine what you and your family have been through but I am very excited to hear that Jason is on the up and up and having a good time at school with his buddies like a kid should be.
I am going to go pop open a nice trapest Belgian ale that have been saving for a speacial occasion and this seems as good a time as any ;) To you and yours!

Re: A Note from Adam Wysocki
I just finished reading the blog as well... Wow, what a thing to endure, for all of you! I've lit a candle for you and your family, and you're in our thoughts. It amazes me that you've felt the need to apologize for not being in touch! It's *beyond* understandable! Hang in there, and you know BP.net is rooting for you!:grouphug:

Re: A Note from Adam Wysocki
I agree there is no need to apologize. It is great to have you back. Just focus on everything at home. Hope your kiddy is having a blast being in school, being a kiddy of course :rolleye2:
You know your in everyone's prayers and will continue to be so..

Re: A Note from Adam Wysocki
Adam,
I read your blog, I am sincerely sorry that you and Jay had to go through that. I was in tears, cause I know exactly how you feel and that feeling of being 100% helpless.
My son caught the Roto Virus at 13 months old, it almost killed him. We took him to the hospital and they said he was fine, less than 8 hours later the next morning he was limp in my arms and white as a ghost from dehydration. I have memories of needles and screaming and them wrapping him up in a sheet to hold him down. If it weren't for my husband I would have lost it. I know what you were feeling.
You remind me so much of my husband, a loving, kind, caring father. Who would die for their children. Jay is very lucky to have you as a father.
I am glad to hear he is on the road to recovery.
Take care,
Kristy

Re: A Note from Adam Wysocki
So I'm not on here much with work and my boys and the snakes. Tonight I had some time to check out Adams blog and I was transported back to the day my son was diagnosed with sleep apnea. I had to sit there and hear that one day he may just stop breathing and not wake up. I felt the pain as you spoke about falling apart. I know the feeling. As the father were supposed to be the strong one standing like a rock when all we can do is try not to collapse under the pain. I still go into my son's room in the middle of the night and watch him breath and hope against all hopes that I will never see the day he doesnt. He is much older now and at 15 still gives me the time of day but not too much more. Every day we are given is a gift, spend them wisely. They all pass way too fast and we cant get them back. I stand with you as a father who has been there. I will hope as I did with my boy, Joshua that Jason grows to be big and strong and he too will barely give you the time of day. Here's to many more days together.
Thanks for reading.

Re: A Note from Adam Wysocki
I’m always amazed at the amount of strength a person can muster when they are faced with tremendous grief and hardship. Reading your blog like many others brought back the deep seeded emotions that I thought I gained control over.
Our daughter is deaf. Testing began at birth and continues still today. She saw Nuerologists at Hopkins, Audiologists, Neurotologists, Otolaryngologists blah, blah blah. They equipped her with “super ears”. At the time she was the youngest patient at Johns Hopkins to be fitted.
As she got older she was losing more and more hearing (she's 5 now). MRI’s and CT Scans were done thankfully revealing no sign of tumors. She was termed as having non-specific progressive bilateral sensineural hearing loss.
Our situation is no way as terrifying as yours and the many that posted above. We were never in a life threatening situation, but the pain that you feel watching your child suffer and you can’t do anything to help is unbearable. Next step is cochlear implants; I hear that one is a doosey.
Anyway, way to go Adam, its great seeing a Dad fight for their child and their child's well being. I know I'm considered the b*tch parent at times b/c I fight for services and the best for my child b/c if I don't know one else will.

Re: A Note from Adam Wysocki
Adam, there's not much I can say... I hope everything goes smoothly from here on out and that you can put your mind at ease. I can only imagine the stress you've felt.

Re: A Note from Adam Wysocki
Adam,
Just read your blog. As a parent of a son I know how things like this turn your world inside out. When my son was 6wks old they thought he had a SIDS incident and I remember that night and the days that followed.
You and your son are in my heart and my prayers. I know how very much of your world he is.

Re: A Note from Adam Wysocki
Adam i understand how you feel and what you went through. every thing you wrote in your blog is correct and on point for what a truely loving parent would go through. im sorry this had to happen in your family and you are in our thoughts here in your old neck of the woods. i wish i had seen this earlier but i have been out of touch and to now know that every thing is fine and he is doing so much better is a great thing.
best of wishes
Nick
