It's fine Matt. We, like any community online or off, have our times but then what family doesn't. :)

Now on to my next lift somebody up post.....

I wanted to thank all of our members from Scotland. Some of you know I was raised by my granny, who was blessed to be born in Greenock, Scotland. Though she lived most of her life in Canada she never quite lost that lovely sound of "home". She's been gone 6 years now (she actually passed just weeks before young Michael was born) and I miss her every day still.

I just wanted to say thank you for your posts. I can hear the sounds so like hers in the words you type and I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. It's a bit odd that a snake forum sometimes makes a connection like this but it does for me. Brings a smile to "Betty's wee lass".

My thanks goes out to "frankykeno," most of all. Her posts are always so inspiring and informative! She reached out to me when I was having aggressive snake problems, and I appreciate that so much. She made me realize there is hope. Her inspiring words helped me to overcome the fear I had of my snake, just by doing a small self-pep-talk before handling. THANK YOU!!

Also, a BIG THANKS to everyone else who has helped me with any questions I have ever had! Each and EVERY time I post, I always get helpful, kind responses. It makes me feel so welcome and accepted. Everyone that has ever responded to my posts has always had nothing but good information, helpful advice and a welcoming tone. I know there are troublemakers out there, but all of the members I have "met" through responses have not been that way, at all. Thank you all for that!

The mods, admins and the site itself get a huge THANK YOU, too. :)

Wow what a great thread. I just saw it. I was out of town last weekend then came home to the sadness of VT.
Anyhoo let me give my shout outs!

First is to my BP buddy Judy ( JLC ) who has always been there to help, chat and listen to me rant. You where the first person I really connected w/ on here. Thanks for all you do and all that you are :)

Smulkin (Matt ) For being the guy that took over and helped hold this forum together and guided it to being an awesome site. And I can always count on to inject some awesome humor.

Iceman (Raj) Who is always there and thank God for him I was finally able to learn to post pictures on here :) Props Raj!

Last but not least Adam who is just a awesome dude and all round great guy.
I have learned so much from you and just feel a sense of security that I can email or post or call you and you will always have time to help me out. Thanks is just not a big enough word.

And of course all the folks who make BP.Net the great site that it is :)

I would like to thank Heather, of Heather's Herps. She's been there to answer questions for me, and has twice now offered experiences that helped me with two of my snakes when I didn't know who else to call or ask. Her love for the animals is first and foremost, and she is definitely a credit to the hobby. He customer service is impeccable, and her word means something. I look up to her, and hope I can be even half the breeder she is someday. I love ya Heather, but not in a weird way.. LOL

Hmm. I think Connie (littleindiangirl) is absolutely inspirational. She has always been the kindest person to me in this community and we always seem to have the same opinions! Which, IMO are good ones. ;) She has also done a great deal to go out of her way to help me personally, which I deeply appreciate.

I also wanted to give signs of respect to Wes (wilomn) and Patrick (Patrick Long). Though many people probably have their problems with Wes, and he doesn't always have a good thing to say, he really isn't afraid to say it anyways. Pat as well will speak his mind even if everyone may not agree with it, and that to me, shows a very key aspect to a person. And, they're words are often simple, sweet, and damn to the point. They both are extremely helpful and experianced men who really do know what they are talking about, and sometimes, thats exactly what we need. :gj:

Man its hard to choose. I would have to thank......

EVERYONE:) I have had soo much help from everyone on this forum for the past 2 years and even from before I became a member and just browsed through the threads as a guest. But, I do have to throw out a special thanks to a few people who have been very helpful to me.

First and foremost to Raul (Westcoastjungle) he has never had a problem with opening his home to me and recently even taking some of my eggs since I did not have my incubator up and going. Thanks bud.

next would be Heather (Ladyohh) she was the one who introduced me to the rest of the so cal herpers and never been anything but kind and helpful. :D

Tom Baker (pythondreams) he has been more than trusting with me giving me many wonderful deals on animals and herping supplies. Really a great guy.

And lastly to the rest of the Cali Crew :) , Pat, Lewie, Wes, Joe, Cassandra, Kat, and The Joel (inside joke) and the honorary Cali Crew member Tim :D and of course all of the significant others of the above mentioned. Im sorry if I missed anyone :( All of you guys, and gals have been really great. Well except for Pat's obsession with me he is always stalking me at expos.

    Thanks Chris!

Anywho, I'd have to say Heather has helped me out the most. She's always dealing with my stupid questions. She's the one who helped me get started.

So Thanks Heather, I know you are going to read this, I mean I am typing this at Your house getting ready to ask you more stupid questions!

LOL, Connie we're going to have to start calling you the re-animator, bringing dead threads back to life. It's a good idea though to see a thread like this back up again.

First I'd like to say thank you to all the BP.net staff and moderators for their even handed and even tempered approach to keeping everything sailing along smoothly, I swear that many of you must have tongues that look like hamburger the way you must have to bite down on em before responding to some threads.

I'd also like to thank Adam Wysocki and Tim Bailey for their vast knowledge and expertise. Anytime I feel that I already know it all, I just have to read a few of their posts to find out that there are still many things yet to learn.

I'd like to thank Heather - LadyOhh for her enthusiasm and spunk (yes I said spunk!!!!) She's such an upbeat person that just reading her thoughts and ideas charges me up and makes me feel better about myself and my hobby, even if things aren't going quite the way I'd like them to.

And next to last but certainly not least, I'd like to thank wilomn... It took me quite a long time to actually 'get' Wes, and I wasn't always sure I wanted to. But these days its a rare day when he doesn't bring a smile to my face.

I'd like to end by thanking every single person who makes up this village we know as ball-pythons.net. From the crotchety old goats to the fresh young newbies and every herper in between. Every single person adds their own flavor to this hodge podge of hobbyists, professional breeders and general reptile enthusiasts. It's a savory blend that only seems to get better with age.

    Re: Lift Somebody UP Today!
I'm glad this thread has resurfaced. Great idea in 2007 a still a great idea in 2009.

I'd like to think the BP-net community as a whole. Very seldom do you find a community of enthusiasts who are really interested in helping others, even when the same questions are asked over and over.

The mods are great, including Nate, keeping us all on track and a family friendly place to share. While I don't post every day, I read many posts every day and learn from what I read.

Keep this great community going guys . . . it is unique and very helpful!

in light of today, being our 1st clutch of out second breeding season i would like to thank Alice Cobb of florida reptile room,i met her at a show in october of 07 with my then girlfriend, and brother, and she spent HOURS with us showing us different morphs, and when i came back the 2nd day to buy my 2nd ball python,i searched her out,and since then,we have bought numerous animals from her,and look forward to buying more, not only did she give me the idea to breed, but even gave me the nudges i needed when i needed them to relise it was a viable thing to do,without alice's support and pushing, and her animals, reptile fryndz wouldnt be in our 2nd season right now

and at tthe last show i sen her at,she graciously allowed a friend of mine to hold her amazing display snakes for pictures, and alice, that young lady STILL talks about that all the time

so heres a thank you from us at reptile fryndz, and really, everybody in orlando who you have helped out

Michelle C, for giving me advice for the little garter snake that half killed himself in my yard. And for telling me that my Blue Beauty is in fact beautiful and for the advice given for her care and handling. :D

I thought that kindness was really nice. I like the people who reach out to the unknowns and the novices. Thanks Mchelle!

Kara, who ends up being awash in calls and admiration-- she takes the time to be there for me and for my sixteen year old son. He can be ... well, sixteen. And she is respectful and teaches and takes time and I think that is GREAT.

She doesn't make me feel unimportant or like I am wasting ehr time. And she let me have some of her mice and rats-- very nice ones. And chats with me about horses and dogs and other important things. I'm not saying this well! But Kara, thanks!

Too many people to list and I'm not a man of many words...
This is also a good way to get people back in good moods.

Ladyohh-thanks for kickin butt, in every way. I love the threads you post that show people some of the breeding aspect that some of us first timers have yet to see.

Littleindiangirl-Connie, thanks for buying all those cages! I try to keep up sometimes with all the posts your making. You help alot of people with alot of different issues.

Satanicintention, Becky, thanks for being a voice before some of us can get to the vet. You've lent alot of health and husbandry knowledge to alot of people that can't get to the vet as well.

I'd also like to thank the regular posters in the Blood Python area:D
