no not you ed, i was talking to matt. his username and sig... again all caps.

since caps are yelling... it always annoys me when i see all caps in a username or sig line. just seems... impolite. but hey, it's just my opinion... :P

These girls from what I was told, are 100-200g and some seem to be pushing 300g. I'm getting my scale this weekend and will be weighing them in and taking individual pics.

I plan on feeding them a rat pup every 5-7 days and raise them up nice and steady. If some are up on weight by 2/08, I may decide to pair them up with some males. If not, I will keep raising them steady till 12/08 and pair them up then, if possible. In any case, I'm in no hurry and just glad to have these girls on the ground.

My current plans are to purchase a few 06/07 Het females such as Caramels, Pieds, Albinos and a few others in the next few weeks. I also hope to buy some early 07 Co-dom/Dom males at Daytona this year. I have some Boa cash left over and still have some more to sell off, along with my Boaphile 421D stack set up.

By the time Daytona rolls around, I plan on picking up a Spider, Pastel, Caramel, Lesser, Pied and Butter male. With that said, if any of you breeders (Small breeders, Hobby breeders, Pro breeders) out there are reading this, lets chat! I'd love to see what you all are expecting and working on.

I don't want to high jack the thread but this is what I am looking at I got 10 normal girls between the 1600 and 3000 mark. For the 07 breeding season I am hoping to pair male pastel jungle, Pinstripe, mojave, spider, pied, lessers and cinni's with them. Then when my morphed females are up to weight in 08 I have the above along with bees, lemon blast, lesser bees, black balls, mojave x mojave and mojave x lesser and lesser x lesser blue eyed lucys, super pastels, and pastels het for pied and spiders het for pied(crossing my fingers for spider pieds and pastel pieds) . If all goes perfact (dreams) but I will at least have the first set. I buy all my morphs in pairs or in a 1 to 3 ratio , one male and 3 nonrelated femals. I hope to get me some yellow bellies this year and another nice lesser girl.

    Here are the materials needed:
4ft X 15" Melamine Shelving bought from Home Depot or Lowes X's 10 pieces pre-cut (Being the 2 sides and 8 shelves) $100.00 pre-cut or cheaper if you buy a large piece and cut it yourself. I still need to add the top shelf to mine!

1-1/2 wood screws X's 32 = 2 screws per side of shelf = $5.00 for a case of 50 screws at Home Depot or Lowes

Elmers Wood Glue to glue each shelf before screwing together = $3.00

Silicone to seal the edges of each shelf = $2.00 (not required, but helps seal the rack to last longer).

    Helix DBS 1000 Thermostat = $125.00
    3" Flexwatt = 28ft = $60.00

    12qt Sterilite tubs X 28 = $70.00 at Wal-Mart

Total cost about $365.00 for everything! Including Tubs, heat and Helix! You could get a cheaper thermostat and save $50-$60, but I decided to go with Helix.

This rack holds 28 12qt Sterilite tubs or 14 28qt Sterilite tubs or a mixture of the two tubs. This rack size is great, because as they grow you can transition them over to the 28qt tubs and still use the same rack! Each rack took less than 1hr to assemble and that includes the beer breaks!

I plan on building two more of these racks as time goes on to accommodate 56 28qt tubs. Eventually, when needed, I will build some racks similar to these to house Iris CB70 tubs for the larger girls. These Sterilite racks will for future babies and yearling BP's.
