Which is your favorite?

Having kept giants as pets and breeders I will always hold a place in my heart for the beatiful (even in its normal state) intelligent, thought provoking and often times personal on a whole new level, pet that is the Reticulated Python. :taz:

Burmese, hands down ...

I have 3:
Goliath, male light phase regular, 15 ft. '02
Desperado, male albino, 12 ft. '03
Summer, female albino, 12 ft. '04

Other snakes may be pretty, but these snakes have personality ...

Goliath is tame as a kitten. I brought Desperado to a reptile show 2 days after shed and he was nothing short of a docile camera ham. Summer on the other hand is a bit bi-polar (the GF calls her B#%ch, lol), sometimes she is great ... sometimes ... not so great. Goliath and Desperado were rescues, Summer I have had since she was nearly a hatchling.

Well, my list reads like this:
1: Afrock
2: Retic
3: Natal Rock
4: Annies
5: Scrubs

I am looking into getting a 'conda.

Burm or Retic.

If i were to ever get a giant... it would be a Retic... cause they are real pretty snakes.

but i doubt i will ever have one lol

Had to say burms-have 13 of them and about 100 burm eggs ready to pip in another month BUT after getting 2 retics in the last year I will have to say they are running a close second. Also love the green condas but just don't have the room for one yet.

I love the Burmese personality over all but as far as coloration the Retics take the race!!!!! :snake:

Mine would be an Olive Python, but it is not on the list... next to that the super dwarf retics.

Tough choice. I would have to meet one of each in person. Sounds like a good goal!

I'll take an albino burm anyday...they are just so beautiful.

For me it would be a burm. An albino would be nice but I'd settle for any color really. I just love the personalities of those big guys.
I don't have the room for one though, and I'm sure I don't have enough experience to deal with a baby that big. I can still wish though.

darn i put retic when i was suppose to but other cause i think olive pythons are the coolest giants in my opinion

Retics, because of their orange eyes.

my tiger retic is a favorite
but i did hold a 50# burm the other day and now i want one

my fav's would have to be the Amethystine Python, But I always tend to lead toward the morelia family.

Yellow Anaconda hands down. I'll take some pictures of why later when I hold my girl.

I love all my giants but my favorite is my green anaconda.

Seriously...burms are nice and all...but I just think afrocks are underrated. ;)

This is exactly why I, currently, have 3 snakes. LOL I love my burm, and Burms are definately my favorite (as soon as I get a bigger place Im gettin an albino...I swear LOL) BUT I also love my ball, and my Red Tail...so I went small, medium, and large LOL.

Hard to pick a favorite.

I have owned all of the "giants" except for amethystina.

Green and yellow anacondas are cool because they are so damn strong.
Burms are cool because they are so damn nice.
Afrocks are cool because they can be so damn nice, but you need a lot of patience.
Retics are cool because they are so damn beautiful (not that they all aren't but nothing like a reg retic out in the sunshine), and they are so much fun to handle (they don't like to sit still for a second).

I can't pick a favorite, but it's leaning towards the retic...

They're all great....hard to pick a "fav"...I'd have several of each if I had more room! We have several burms (normal, albino & green albinos) and 3 large boas....next thing on my want list is a retic though.....going to give the bateater project a go.

I can't say I've owned a giant yet, but a favorite is still hard to pick. By appearance alone, I easily vote retic. But, as far as ownership, I'll probably say Jampea just because they're a lot closer to my handleable range. I'm not sure, but I went with the original retic for now.

I don't have any giants but the burmese is my favorite.

Definitely Retics.
