My dealings with MKR

Everyone should do as they wish. I will personally not hold anything personally against anyone. Business wise I might not consider supporting your endeavors by buying from you, but only because of my thoughts of supporting the market I'm buying into. End of story, this thread was very excessive and not like this place at all. :sabduel:

when we make choices... to eat organic or to eat genetically enhanced foods... to buy brand name or no-name products... to buy high quality or low quality electronics... sometimes we have to be prepared to defend our choices.

it's all in the way the person making the choice chooses to share his or her side of things. she made this thread to explain why she was choosing to support MKR... and then she boasted about swearing at a police officer among other things... so... if she doesn't like how the thread is going... perhaps she should have thought about that when she put her fingers on the keys and started typing.

and that goes for others here who are being vile and rude too.

JessieLook at it this way.

MKR sells you a BP for say $500 today. Next month he gets mad at someone who sells BP's and dumps a lot onto the market at $100.

You would have no problem with the fact that MKR just made your animal worth 1/5 of what you paid only a month ago? He just screwed not only the person intended but all of HIS past customers.

Forget Joe's middleman, help the customer, yada, yada, yada crap.

He is deliberately mass producing and dropping the market, not to help out the customers but to get back at 3 specific people who upset him and wouldn't let him in on a certain project.

I could care less what he sells for. The arrogance of Joe and the threats to other breeders, and his I'm better and richer than you ramblings, make me never want to deal with MKR. A lot of people feel the same way just cannot understand how you could give him any money no matter how low the price may be.

This was a thread about her positive experience with a breeder and because that breeder is not well liked the thread becomes just another avenue for others to voice their disapproval and hatred....is that right? Wouldn't it be appropriate to start a separate thread "Why I hate MKR?" Vs trash every thread or post.

I haven't read her first thread so don't know the whole story behind this.

if what I just did caluses you to think twice about buying form me, talking to me, or selling to me then your sad. I'm tired of getting burned, harassed, joked on, pushed around and sent PMs about my dealings with MKR.

I'm very happy and greatful for this and you know what ... if you want something to burn me on or harass me about... do it about this...

Not according to him this morning in a post on Fauna where he praised them for their customer service and care for him as a customer. After I outed him for the liar he is, he suddenly became their office manager/it consultant/comptroller/cage cleaner/ass kisser/toilet cleaner/bookeeper/birdwatcher. He then gotten beaten to a pulp over there and ended up with a rating lower than I thought was possible. Wes should rethink his marketing campaign. Like I said, I don't know the history after reading she had a 1st thread that did not go well. Originally when I read this thread it came off like someone who was on the edge over a positive experience she felt good about and was pushed off that edge.

How long have you been keeping BP's?

The reason I ask is because it usually takes the rest of us poor people years to build up morphs. We start with normals, breed them, sell or trade the offspring for other animals, etc.

It usually takes quite a while to be able to build up a breeding colony with one morph let alone several unless you are rich or crazy enough to borrow funds to buy animals.

So, how long ago did you get your first BP and decide on breeding higher end animals?

I am not being antagonistic. Just trying to see if you are trying to jump in as fast as you can with morphs without even successfully breeding a pair of normals.

Point in fact, I like Adam, but if he pulls an MKR I wouldn't ever buy a snake from him either. It's not personal... it's just how I feel I should run my business.

I certainly would not offer to take Joe to coffee, because the fact is, I like you as a person far more than I like Joe as a person (and I'd make a reasonable bet your better looking than him, and that doesn't hurt either).

You are entitled to do things the way you want to. Just don't forget, the rest of us are too. See you at Starbucks :).

I started keeping balls only a year or so ago, then just recently bought a het albino male, which are not expensive no matter where you get them... because that's what I knew I could afford. I am now paying off a pastel male because I cannot afford to buy it all at one time. It's a patient process, but if you KNOW it's something you REALLY want to do and you are PASSIONATE about the business, you will do it.

To me it seems that since you had already started to just give up on the whole thing, right until someone got you a good deal on a couple of snakes so you could afford them right then and there, you are just in it for the quick fix. I truely believe that to be successful in anything, you have to be in it for the long run.

I believe that too. Also it will take a while to become a good breeder, it will not happen over night. Now if you got adults, you may be able to breed next year. If you got any female babies, you still have a few years to go before even thinking about it.

ANYONE can get Ball Pythons to breed. There is more to it than that.

It's interesting (but not surprising) that I have yet to hear a rebuttal from the MKR supporters on this site regarding the claims made about MKRs personal vendetta against other breeders and their other unsavory business practices. Instead, the only thing I hear from them is "They're cheap!", "They're really nice!", "They were willing to work with me to make my dreams come true!".

I have to say that's rather sad if those are your only criteria for doing business with someone as unethical and sleazy as MKR. What they did has much more of an impact than dumping 50 cheap morphs on the market, but it's a shame that there are people that can't see that or maybe they're just unable to see past their wallet.
