well after a good nights sleep (my hubby didn't snore last night... ahhhh the bliss!!!) - i am still just elated about my sand boa... i really figured both would be dead or never found so this IS a very good thing IMO.

thank you all so much! :grouphug:

wow i just knoticed this thred. i too had one of my boas get out night before last. and believe it or not we had a hell of a time finding her. keep in my this is an 8ft bic. i can only imagin how hard it would be to find a 1-2ft snake. i think our snakes get on the net and planned a mass breakout. this was the first snake i had ever had get out. she was in the closet behind the folded cloaths that were on the shelf.

I've lost baby BPs before. I have my snake room escape proofed though so the only place they can go is in the closet.

same here she was in the closet.. but at first search i could not see her. she has a sliding lid and she must of been draging her nose on it because it was open just enaugh to fit through. now i make sure i put the pins in all my cages. i cant wait till my new boaphile cages come in. i ordered 13 421d's about 5 weeks ago and no word. i emailed them to get a estimated ship date and havent herd back yet. but i am sure they wont be much longer. after i get them i can fiannaly get all my boas out of glass. and sience they are stackable they will create twice the room i have now for racks for the 210 babies i am expecting this year.

Gotta love Boaphile. That is why I would NEVER order from them. They feel you should be honored that you get to purchase one of their cages (or a lot in your case). This is how they treat all their customers. Sorry for the off topic...

Funny story, because years and years ago I also had a KSB escape (out of a 10 gal with the metal screen still snapped down after the escape. They sure can nose their way out of tight spaces) and about a week later my sister's cat comes prancing up with something in his mouth. He always brings us prizes...live mice...live skinks...live hawk moths, but rarely kills anything. He dropped it at my feet, and there was my snake, totally unharmed. Your story just brought me back to my somewhat similar experience. I'm glad you found him though, and I'm sorry about your corn.

well i have a strap (luggage strap) on it like i do for my ball and hog island boa.

just cause it's small... don't think it can't or won't get out!

cause i sure learned my lesson on that.
