who had the spider babys know mike. i know the guy thats runs the show has a few spiders and he's one of the guy's that bought my baby pastel off of me last year.

Will have to grab the cards i got from the show will post his name tommrrow but couple people there had spiders, a few had cinnie's few had some pinstripes,there were quite a few pastels there as well so I have to say it was quite an impressive show for being so small getting to hold a cinny rocked.

3 of the eggs have begun to mould and never showed veins...the other 2 as far as I know are doing okay and showed veins very quickly.

sorry to hear about the 3, ill keep my fingers crossed for 2 pastels for ya ;)

Ohhhh, what do you mean by mould, or was it mold. What happened to them? Could they still make it, or do they not even have a chance? And how is Brannah doing, did she show any signs that she is going to lay eggs? Because that would be really cool to have more babies from Brannah. (She is my second favorite snake...
next to Emi of course) Well i hope she has little eggies soon...

Hey Beth, this is Ruari's new mom!

When eggs mold, it means they weren't fertilized(able to carry a baby snake inside) and since the eggs weren't living, they molded and went bad.

I hope the other two contain something special! Ya'll deserve it!

Let's hope for the best guy's , two pastel's from the clutch would be awesome.May the Bp god's bless the remainder of the clutch.

Aleesha I know you aren't Bethie since I don't believe I remember giving birth to you! LOL I love that site and how they've set it up. Check the genetics info, it's great basic stuff (I love that mouse rollover feature). The crazy thing is Markus Jayne is only a few miles from my hometown back in Canada - such a small world! If I ever get back there to put flowers on my parents graves, I've got an invite to visit them. Really lovely people.

but that's the point IMO. kids are supposed to be kids. no worries... no major responsibilities... their main job is to have fun! that's why we homeschool on the rainy days and try to enjoy the outdoors to the max on the nice days... regardless of the time of year... cause adulthood and all it's stress and responsibilities comes soon enough! :P

I just counted and we are on Day 29 (or 28...do I count the day they were laid?) for Orlah's clutch. Wow it's going by so quickly! We are down to 2 viable looking eggs but hey 2 is better than nothing we figure LOL. One for Eugene, one for Mike and I and according to Eugene, Orlah is putting weight back on very nicely.

oh cool. if it's a male and female baby... who gets the female?

That's up to Eugene. He gets first pick so whichever one he prefers as far as gender or looks or genetics is his.

Well considering I couldn't find anything on breeding contracts so had to write my own I've no clue how anything is done LOL. Basically Eugene has the morph males and is doing all the breeding, daily care and incubating so it's only fair in my mind that he takes first choice.

See, it does go by quickly! :) So why does it seem like I'm moving in slo-mo since yesterday?? Good luck on those two! Did Eugene notice the others turning bad slowly, or did they go pretty quick?

Well three of us lol...me, Mike and Eugene but yes we worked hard to make it fair to all and safeguard all the humans and snakes as much as humanely possible. Breeding contracts are always risky for all parties concerned but we feel extremely confident in this one.

Hopefully Eugene will see this thread Lawrence and can tell you about the 3 bad eggs in more detail. I know from what he's said that he never saw veins at all except in the 2 good eggs.

the three that went bad never showed any veins and started turning in less ten days.

Can't believe we are on Day 47 by my count! Hatching is getting so close now. I swear I need to go grab a sleeping bag and camp out in Eugene's snake room!

Unfortunately neither egg ended up being viable. Both got too moldy and niether produced a living hatchling.
