it's not quite that direct of an association. you might have to think outside the box a little...or maybe a lot.

The only thing I can think of close to Arrie would be Ariel from The Little Mermaid.

YOU ARE THE WINNER!!! :gj: :D  soooo smart you are! i was afraid for a while there that perhaps it wasn't so guessable as i thought!

so just to make the spider connection for anyone who is wondering how i got there, the train of thought was something like this: spider; web spinner; spinning wheel; spindle; sleeping beauty; aurora; arrie. :pinkele:

so jo, to what address would you like your new gecko shipped? ;) :P :blossom:

Holy moly I actually got it right!!!! Finally all those years of watching Disney movies is paying off LOL! I didn't know you were really serious about a free male gecko Emily...wow! Let me get with you in PM over the next week as I want to make sure I even know how to properly care for one and I'm so busy this holiday weekend I can't think straight. With me being Canadian and Mike American we dual celebrate both July 4th and Canada Day so it's a nutsy busy few days LOL.

Holy wow...I really won a freakin gecko! Dang it....this is exciting!!! :pinkele: (omg how am I going to break this to Mike LOL)

oh yes ma'am i was serious! maybe you should just point this thread out to mike so he can be awed with your acute name guessing skills that he can't help but be proud and congratulatory. :D

just pm me when you get some time and we'll work out all the details. as far as the care, i'm sure you'll be able to handle it just fine--cresteds are easy!

congrats! you are now officially a member of the evil gecko lovin' ladies club! :P

LOL Judy....I'm thinking it's chilled beer glass full of his favorite brew and that big, sweet wifey smile I save for when I really, really, REALLY want something. Not that I think he'll object much though he's never expressed an interest in cresties I'm sure he'll find it an entertaining, interesting little creature. They really are charming looking. :)

perhaps i will try to come up with another contest of sorts in the future. it was fun!

you do have some nice leos! unfortunately because of the abundance of crested babies i am lacking in time and am thinking about cutting back my leo collection a bit. i don't really want to, but cresteds are my main gecko focus and i don't want it to get to the point that i don't have enough time for the leos... decisions!

Thanks again Em! This is so exciting! We'll talk next week and get the details all ironed out and I'll have some time to do a bit of reading and preparing.

Raj, with two daughters and two sons I have pretty much seen everything Disney's ever made...about a 100 times LOL....and we've done the bedsheets, wallpaper, books, action figures, disney princess dolls, etc.

My oldest daughter Katelyn received her first marriage proposal at the age of 5 from the little boy next door. The marriage was abruptly cancelled when said young fella made mean comments about Katie's brand new Disney comforter! Them's fighting words and who would marry a male who can't appreciate good Disney decorating! Heavens! LOL

Well in that case I just may have to browse your site a bit more and try to keep myself from buying those cute little cresteds (I'll probably give in like always:P). I think its the whole no crickets/bugs necessary that is so appealing...and the fact that they can lick their eyes.

On a side note, I've always thought gargoyles were really sweet looking and I see you're working with a few...any babies in the future?

Edit: Oh, and big congrats Jo! It would be lovely to see some pictures of the little fella that Jo won in the contest.:)

Watch out for the gecko people.....you put up a little resistance to joining their ranks....and they just give you a gecko...now you have no choice but to become overly fixated on geckos!

lol...great guess Jo. I would have never thought.

Well of course Daniel....I'll get a free male and then at some point of course I'll start thinking...hmmmm he needs a lady friend and then well maybe another lady gecko and....ARRRRRGHHHH....I'm sucked into the dark side of the crestie world LMAO. Still haven't broke it to Mike (guess I better get on that before he finds time to cruise the forums  )

Btw here's the convulated thinking pattern I used to reach the answer....

Arrie....Ariel...undersea princess...nope...hmmm...princesses!...Disney princesses with names that shorten to "arrie"....well if Ariel is out then it must be Aurora!....figured that would make sense since BP's like to "sleep" so much and they are beautiful...bingo....has to be Aurora aka Sleeping Beauty!...also prick from a needle put her to sleep...spinning wheel....spinning webs...spiders!....must be her!

    See easy stuff LOL.

not in the near future. i have just 3 gargoyles at the moment--i think they are all females. one day i will get them a nice male and start a little project but right now they are just for fun. :)
