Thanks! He comes from some pretty solid lineage.
The dam has a lot of VPI blood, Leary blood, and Python Pete in her background. The male is a striped ivory x Vandeventer animal with strong lineage as well.
So I think he picked up a little striping from Dad.

Yeah, she'll definitely be bigger than he will. She's growing more quickly for sure. I just weighed her since she "emptied out" today and she's at 179 grams. She arrived 10/09 at 35 grams.
Cornell arrived 3/11 weighing 76 grams and just hit 150 empty. Fernie weighed 91 grams the same week. So I guess their growth rate is probably closer than I thought (I just looked all that up).

Re: Cornell, my Jungle Carpet Python
You’re making it look like I don’t feed my animals lol! Sally is like 110 and she showed up 11/7/19 at 29grams.

Oh no kidding?? Ha!
I feed pretty conservatively too. They're both already on a 7+ day schedule. I don't follow a strict feeding schedule, so they're usually eating every 7-9 days at this point. Cornell finished up the rat fuzzies I had on hand, but probably could have been on small adult mice weeks ago, I just figured I'd use up my inventory.
The 18-20 grammers barely leave a lump in Fernie already.

Re: Cornell, my Jungle Carpet Python
Yeah all my morelia have been about 9-10days on rat fuzzies/wean mice and Charlotte is smashing large mice now. Bumping them all up a bit through summer into fall then going to cut em off and cool em down. Gotta get the Brisbanes in tune with seasonal cycling for a couple years down the road.

Sorry for a slight derail to your thread, but what record keeping system do you use? Pen and paper, phone app, etc?

No derail at all my friend.
I use iherp.com. It tracks all I need, easy to navigate.
P.S. I'm almost definitely adding a male Bredli for a few years down the road.

Thanks dude! I’ll look into that. Been using SnakeKeeper on my phone but it’s a little clunky once you’ve got more than a few snakes. Seeing stats/averages in there is nice for sheds and stuff though.
And attaboy! Do it! When I’ve hopefully got a bunch of Brisbanes in a few years maybe one can find its way to MA if a Bredli finds its way to MS... [emoji57]

I think a baby Bredli could definitely find its way to MS if things go as planned. Still not 100% but pretty darn close! There's a good chance we'd be trying our first pairings the same season too.
Fernie is 66% het for stripe, so I'm trying to decide if I want to play the odds there or not. I'm thinking a hypo het stripe might be what I'm looking for, but aside from Casey stripes seem kinda tough to come by. I prefer the wild type over the stripe but it might be fun to throw another het in the mix and see what happens.
I've been doing a little homework on maternal incubation and may consider that route, but I've got a few years to research that aspect.

Re: Cornell, my Jungle Carpet Python
I took Cornell out for a bit today, but only snapped a few quick pics before just enjoying a beautiful day with my boy.
He's getting much better with handling, not squeezing like he was and seems more relaxed and confident. He's getting a little size on him so I think that's helping his confidence.

Re: Cornell, my Jungle Carpet Python
Both CP's are looking great Craig!
So glad Cornell is chilling out for you. I thought he would, but great that he's not squeezing so much anymore, etc.
Very happy for you and the crew.
