Re: Aurora platinum titanium reticulated python progression.
She is doing well. Still has not shed as of this morning. She did eat for me yesterday. Gave her a medium. They said they were feeding her medium to large FT rats. She took pre-killed just fine. Laid it outside her hide. She nosed it and then gently eat it down with the lights off. I can tell she is being cautious in her movements still so she is adjusting to newness of her new home after the trip to my house. Will not handle again till tomorrow to let her digest. Keeping handling to 10-15 minuets at a time. She is gentle and inquisitive when out. Tap training has begun and going well. I don't use a hook. I have a stick that I made from a 2x4 that is cut down to 1" by 1.2" by 5' and is sanded and epoxied to seal up. She sees it coming and turns her head to move away with no contact. I then reach in to pick her up. I feed on the other side. I hope she is as gentile as Rainbow as she grows. I understand Rainbow is exceptional in personality so is a high standard.

    Love her so much!

Thanks for the update. Glad to read she's doing great with tap training.
Is amazing how fast they learn, my Bredli sees the tiny red hook and he runs the opposite way... 'cause he know I'm reaching in for him.

Re: Aurora platinum titanium reticulated python progression.
Offered Aurora a quail for the first time. Was cool to see her deal with something new and unknown to her. Her first reaction was to look at it to see if it was a threat. Then she went back in her swimming area. I moved it to her swimming area with he and bam she hit it hard. Guessing was a defensive response but hung on to see if she could eat it. Then she was like, "Eating under water" was not for her so she pulled it out of the water and into her hide. This was a test in how to get it out as well because part of the bird hung on the water bowl. She solved that problem by gently lifting it up after pulling strait out did not work. Once in her hide where she felt safe then she began to investigate how to deal with feathers. Which end to eat? Then she sat there satisfied for a moment after getting it down and then she went for a bath. I find it interesting all the ways she processed and implemented problem solving skills to get the task done and even hygiene was part of the entire ordeal. Very cool to watch.

Almost laughed at this question. Measuring her is not easy as she is active and moves a lot. 7ish feet if I had to guess. That is a conservative guess at that.

This girl just keeps getting brighter and brighter as she ages. Such a sweetheart. Just be sure to communicate before taking her out oh, she's always hungry. Aurora has decided to bang her water bowl on the side of her enclosure to signify she desires food. As soon as she smells food in the house, bang...… bang..... bang..... till I get to her. Is this intentional?????? Who knows. Makes me laugh. I think she is ringing the dinner bell. LOL.
