And now they have names. The scrub is Klauss and the boa is Monty. :)
On another note- The GF chickened out so they'll have to stay with me. I'm cool with that. :)

Richard,
I forgot about your wife and the "no snake room" rule!
Here I am complaining because Katie's nervous around Behira and about how big she will be, but still holds her and everyone else for that matter!
I shouldn't be complaining!

Congrats! I'm so happy that they arrived safely, they are both so gorgeous! Can't wait to see pics when you get home, I'm sure today is gonna be one of the longest workdays that you've ever had :)

Looking forward to pics when you get them home tonight!
Yeah, my wife's parents run a wildlife rescue and she's usually all about animals but for some reason she's worried about a snake getting loose and coming across it by surprise even though they are harmless. She's OK touching one as long it's a pet snake and it doesn't surprise her.

Yay!!! So stoked for you!!!!
I'm digging the name choices too. :gj:

Home safe? How's everyone doing?
Waiting with baited breath!

Both critters are settling into their new digs. Temps are looking good. I did have to shut the a/c vent in the QT room though. I'm very happy with both choices. The boa is looking GREAT after his shed. He's just laying out in the open inside his tub. The scrub went straight to his hide. I can't wait to get pics of these two. Probably gonna feed the boa this weekend and I'll wait til the scrub sheds. Looks like I'll have to order more feeders sooner than expected too. I've only got 3 weaned and a few small rats left. Both these guys can handle weaners but the smalls might be a bit too much for them. I did weigh them before putting them in their tubs. The boa is 207g and the scrub is 270g.

Nice! Good to know everyone is happy and safe!
Keep us in the loop and good luck with your new buddies!

Man, that boa is a good looking critter but that scrubby... that’s something else. I need to own that snake vicariously through you so I’m gonna need a bunch of pictures and frequently, thanks in advance. 🤣[emoji216]

Instead of ordering, you could pick them up at Repticon Atlanta this weekend - should be a lot cheaper due to no shipping. If you're not able to attend let me know and I can pick some up for you as I'm going to be buying feeders for myself as well.

Thanks for your very kind offer DB. I hadn't thought about Repticon. It's not a bad idea at all but I tend to avoid reptile expos. I'm always worried I'll come home with mites. Do you have a trusted supplier at the show? I was looking at the vendor list and saw a company called feedersource.com . I haven't used them before and their prices are a little higher than I'd pay at Perfect Prey. So even with shipping, which is usually only $30, I'm not sure how much coin I'd save. On another note what part of town are you in? I'm in Cobb Cty. We should link up sometime. :gj:

No special contacts, I just know there are always people selling feeders there. Looking at the vendor list I see feedersource.com, not sure if anyone else will be selling feeders but last year I only remember seeing one feeder booth right inside the front entrance. I had thought micedirect was going to be there also because they're located in Georgia but I guess I was mistaken on that point - it was more of an assumption on my part than any actual evidence I'd seen. And yes, feedersource does seem to have higher prices than perfectprey or micedirect (both of which appear pretty comparable). Don't know if they run any special prices for shows or not.
I wasn't originally planning on going to Repticon. The original plan was to go to the much bigger Daytona show but then I found out my parents are going to be coming to town that weekend to see our family and my sister's family. It's mostly to help her move to a new house but I kind of have to be here too. The only thing I *might* be able to do is go to Daytona on Saturday and then drive home that night arriving very late but that's kind of stretching it. Repticon is a minor consolation prize at best but I figured if I was going anyway I could pick up feeders and browse around.
For mites the advice I've heard is to immediately strip down when you get home, take a shower, and put the clothes directly in the washer.
If the feeders are going to be significantly more (eating up the shipping savings) then it may not be worth going as I'm not expecting to buy any animals. Let me think on this a bit and we can take the discussion to PM.
Location - I'm in Marietta which should be pretty close, off of Allgood road.
