Thanks y’all! I’m pretty smitten with him. I’ve got a nice new pic of him in a very light color phase but Tapatalk won’t let me upload it. Maybe I’ll luck out and he’ll be looking nice when I get home later to try another attempt

Lol no doubt. You have really had one heck of a ride with the retic duo. Honestly, I'm rather surprised you hung in this long, especially with 2 terrors.

Caesar seems to be going through his 'needy' phase again since he just shed this morning. First this morning, he wanted petting and sat on my arm and on my shoulder. Now tonight, he was pacing the front so i opened a door and he came over and laid there for more petting. Now im over on the computer and he is sitting there with his head on the litter dam lol.

Going to try a 1.5lb rabbit sunday for him when i go pick up my order.

I think I'm finally understanding what pushing is with this Olive Python. I have no idea how to keep him satiated. He is hungry and cruising the day after a meal.

It's really making me appreciate the boa demeanor haha. BCC is a bucketlist item, but I have too many boas right now to be able to plan for another large snake (especially with the acquisition of the two argentines!)

I cannot get over the tail of that snake. Share more photos cuz it's never enough.

    He looks great JM.

I pretty give my boa the nod when it comes to handling, impressive, but not over done size, and laid back demeanor in most cases.

You will have no problems with that one!

I’m colorblind so I honestly have a hard time seeing his pinks as it is haha. He still looks about the same as he has since arriving. Maybe a slight bit of buckskin coloration along his dorsal pattern

Shuffled the snake room around in preparation for the behemoth cage, hopefully next week, and got Leonard moved into half of a T8.

Lots of new smells and stimulation so he’s understandably a little freaked out and was breathing pretty hard when I put him in. Don’t think he’s ever had a natural substrate until now either. Welcome to the good life Lenny!

Maybe even more hassle free than Geoffrey. Which is impressive. Something will happen eventually with Phyllis. It has to. Vet suggested maybe forcing a feeding just to get some calories in her to help her body fight off the infection.

He’s my first and only boa but I do really like him. He’s very secretive in the cage. Almost never see him outside of either of his hides, though he does alternate them semi regularly. Still not sure why it took me this long to get a boa constrictor. I kinda want another one... gotta get everything here back to 100% before I can even consider making any new additions. It’s only fair to the current critters, myself included.

Thanks Ziggy! I have to say, I was very surprised when you got your Argentine Boa. Very unique boas and I like how dark they get. I’d be lying if I said that a BCO hasn’t crossed my mind

Looks pretty similar, I’d imagine it’s a comparable product. I will say that compared to every other Coco husk bedding I’ve used reptichip is the least dusty but not worth paying 2-3x as much for it. I’ll stick with either Pro Coco or aspen for my loose substrate options

Overall I like it better than the aspen. Holds humidity very well. Just had to to be careful about not getting it to saturated before putting it in. But best of all I did 4 4x2 cages and still have some left.
