I never tried live-food with her, (since she was weened on frozen-thawed), which was all I didn't try. I tried force feeding and everything else, but she still refused. I was devastated. Not going to let that happen again! Finding live fuzzies without having to buy in bulks of 50 was a challenge. It is a 50 mile drive to DFW Reptarium in Plano, Tx, but it was well worh it to see my guy eat so hearty. Shout out to DFW Reptarium! Great staff and gorgeous inventory! Maybe you can make a new thread and people can give you advice. There is 100% a fix-able reason why your ball pythons do not eat and how the last one starved itself to death, and I guarantee it is husbandry related. Feeding live is definitely more enticing to snakes, sometimes even to a ball python who is in an improper setup, which is why he ate.
Once you have your husbandry fixed up, your snake can even be switched to frozen thawed and you don't need to make 50 mile drives.

Re: He STILL won't eat
I wish it hadn't come down to it, but Asriel really needs to eat. And now that I think about it, the store I got him from only fed live...
I think they were fed hoppers or fuzzies, I remember seeing one in one of the ball python enclosures, which the ball was about Asriel's size.
Issue is, I have no idea where to get them from. I'll try out frozen again, and if he still doesn't take then I'll try out live.
Also, yes, I have tried the hairdryer.

The pet store you got him from doesn't sell them? I wouldn't bother with f/t at this point, I'd check out other pet stores to see if they sell live feeders or check FB or your local classifieds and see if there's a feeder breeder near you.

Re: He STILL won't eat
So I asked the store what they typically feed their ball pythons, and they typically feed frozen or pre-killed. (I kind of just assumed as I saw a fuzzy in one of the ball python enclosures that they all eat live. Heh...)On one hand I'm relieved I don't have to feed live, but on the other hand I'm still stuck with a snake who won't eat. It is either my husbandry or the prey isn't warm enough. Snakes are so confusing [emoji37]

Great news, he finally ate!!! :D
While I am quite upset that it had to be live, it was for the good of my snake. I thanked the little guy for his life and put him in, and not even a minute later Asriel was outside of his log and struck. I'm just so relieved he ate.
