    I would contact a vet, but it sure looks like it will lose the eye. The important thing is to prevent infection as the loss of an eye is not that big of a deal to a BP. Smell and heat pits are the main senses it uses to eat and get around.

    As far as live feeding goes, even if you are careful, there is always the chance of an injury. I prefer to feed fresh killed, as it fools even most of my bps that usually eat live only. Still I have a couple that can't be fooled. I really only care about the health of my snakes, and I have no problem feeding live morally. I have my own rat colony and feel like that's more important to me than the live vs fk or ft choice. I like knowing where my rats came from and that they are healthy and well taken care of.
